Con'grats Grad... Going Green!

Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well.... :) The weather is great here today and we just finished giving Cooper a bath!! (I have a photo of him below!)

Aren't these flower just the cutest!? My two cards are inspired by Wendy Johnson from the newest issue of Paper Crafts, (July/August 2009) In the beginning of the magazine there is a section called "Ask the Pros" and one topic was "GOING GREEN".

On Wendy's card she used printed cardboard packaging. But I decide to use printed copy paper! Both cards have a female edge... obviously! The top one is for a High School graduate and the second card is for my husbands niece who just graduated from college. So I made that one more sophisticated with softer lines. I just LOVE using my embellies with these flowers... :) I used my Craft Chocolate Chip and clear EP on the sentiments.
Click on the photos for a closer look! I hope you enjoy and have a chance to get some stamping time in today!! Thanks for poppin' in and the lovely comments ladies... always appreciate the visit!

SMILES... Michelle :)

Here is "Cooper" after his bath!! He's just about dry now!!

What a great way to go 'green'! Another idea I have picked up, but haven't used yet, is a lady in blog land uses old dictionary pages to add emphases to cards as well as old maps that need replaced. (the definition used on her card was love and those around it and the map was put on a card with a camper! too cute!) Thanks for sharing your great cards.

Hi Michelle. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog the other day. I really appreciate you thinking of me!! I do hope to be back very soon. It's all been such a drama, it's ridiculous! I see you're still making some beautiful cards!! I look forward to catching up on them all properly once I can see all of the images. With my little stick I can only pick up a few! Hope you're well, and look forward to saying hi again very soon! x

Michelle, I love these cards. They are beautifully done. Great idea on using printed copy paper. The colors are just beautiful for these cards. Great job:) What a cute dog. Bathing the dogs is always a lot of work. I usually get wetter than the dog does.lol.

These are both beautiful green (blue & brown) cards Michelle! I love the border punch and the adorable flowers. Those are some great embellishments you used to accent the flowers too. Hope your weather was as great as ours was today. Too nice to be inside stamping, but I will try to conjure up some motivation tonight. Maybe a nice cup of Chai will help:))

So you punched your flowers out of paper you were going to toss? How cool is that! Both cards are lovely, Michelle. I really like the way you punched both the top and bottom edges.

Cooper looks fresh and clean. What a good boy! Give him a scratch for me!

Okay, I've got to get off this computer. This time MY jammies are looking for me. hee

Big hugs my friend,
Lisa

I like both versions of your card. Fab colors and textures.

How cute your dog is. My dog, Luke, who is long since gone, hated getting a bath but loved getting out and shaking off then running around the yard to "blow dry" his fur. Your photo brings back that nice memory for me. TFS.
