July cards to share!!!

Hi everyone!!!! Don't be shocked it's me... how has your summer been? It's hard to believe it's half over and seeing school supplies in the stores already. I have a few cards to share with you that I made "on the fly" for special occasions and from the SU! card classes I attend each month.

This last card is the cutest! You can imaging the conversations we girls had when making this card at class!! That is what warms my heart... having time with stamping friends. :) I have 2 more posts lined up to follow. Thanks for stopping in and I know it has been a while.

A couple SU! cards to share from class!

Happy Thursday!! Tonight I have 2 cards to share from Julie's SU! card class. The first card is using the SU! Vintage Vogue and Very Vintage jumbo wheel in the mini catalog. Close to Cocoa, Blush Bloom CS and punches for the sentiment. I added the mini white pearls.
The second card is using the technique "Stamping with Sweetened Condensed Milk" which was in the latest Stamp It Magazine! O'boy... by the time the group was done embossing the place smelled like a candy factory! (warm caramel smell) Such an easy way to give a unique effect to any card... and vintage! You stamp your image with sweetened condensed milk, sprinkle a "PINCH" of embossing powder over image and heat emboss! The sugar is what turns brown and the embossing powder adds more image details... The set we used is a NEW SU! set coming out in the next mini catalog for spring.
Enjoy!! Are you watching the Olympics? I have been when I can. Thanks for popping in for a visit and truly enjoy it.... have a great evening!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Wishing you and yours a fabulous day full of love and lots of CHOCOLATE!! That's the best part for me... LOL! I made a very SWEET Cheesecake dessert on Friday that we have been enjoying it all weekend. In honor of this special day... here is a valentine I made using this "Ever so CUTE" DP from BoBunny . I just love it!! I added an embossed texture, along with using my EK border punch. I kept the card balanced with the DP's colors and style.
Enjoy your special day! Love is in the air... maybe some card making time too. Thanks for the visit and I always love it when you do!

Happy Day to YOU and Hubby's Valentine!

Hi Everyone!! WOW, has this week just flew by. Monday night I had Julie's card class and will post a few cards we made. This afternoon I had a few moments to finish my hubby's Valentine's Day card! (I don't have to worry about him seeing this post, he's not a regular follower... ha!)

I started out by punching the hearts with SU! heart punch in Real Red CS and added Ruby Red Stickles... 2 layers for SPARKLES! To give this card a masculine feel I used Kraft CS as my base, and used a few scraps of black
and white DP's. Then using my 1 3/8" square punch, EK border punch, and paper piercing a line. The SU! sets I used are retired... Sketch an Event and Wonderful Wishes. I like how it turned out, I tried to keep it not so girly... the only thing throwing me is the white border trim?!?!? Not sure about it!

The 2nd card and Candy Treat Packet was made last week as a few of us gals got together to enjoy some STAMPING TIME!! Very beautiful and FUN projects.... :)

Click on the photo's if you need a closer view. I took a side shot of the treat packet to show you how think it is. We put 4 Dove candies in a
small SU! Cello bag. Plus don't you just LOVE that Chocolate bunny!! :)

Have a great evening and soon the weekend is here! We have a bowling night and dinner planned. Living on the edge us love birds... LOL! Thanks for popping in for a visit and I hope you like what you see!

Unity Stamp Co. and what fun it was!!

Hi everyone! I have a quick post for you tonight... I know this is a Christmas card, but I waited to share it because this card was sent far and beyond! Plus I used my Unity Stamp that I won from Rachel at Bucket Full of Cards. (Pop in for a visit... Rachel has such AWESOME cards!) I chose the Retro Bubble Frame... you can double stamp it and create two layers... with or without the circles on each side. It is a bit of hand cutting, but VERY GORGEOUS!! This is the frame around the angel which is from SU! (Retired set!)

Click on the photos for a closer look! I did add sparkles around the red frame, sponged the edges to give an aged look, added gold 1/2 pearls, Stickles on the Angels wings... and even cut the wings for a 3-D effect. She's flying off the card!! Have a super evening... keep warm... and enjoy your weekend! It's coming quick... and I have a few Valentine's Day cards I want to start. Thanks for the visit, I LOVE IT!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Such a snowy day here and we are still snowed in. Tomorrow we plan to venture out to visit my folks. I can hear snowmobile's going by the house. Since Wednesday night I have been a bit under the weather... lost my voice, coughing, chest congestion, aches, chills, etc. I hope this passes soon! :)
This holiday card was so much fun to make... plus a square card! That's different for me... ha! This card was for my sweet blogging friend Lisa at The Craft's Meow. I put a few elements together, followed a layout in the Paper Crafts Magazine, added sparkle to the snowflake, which is hard to see in the photo. (Click on it to get a closer look!) In real life you get a better feel of the card and the gold ribbon is sparkly too. ENJOY!

Have a super weekend... any after Christmas shoppers? Some good deals I bet...

Thinking of you... and Christmas Wishes from Cooper!

Merry Christmas everyone!! Yes, I'm strange... I post a butterfly card right before the holidays! Ha... I just don't have a holiday card to share quite yet. Or is it that we're in for a major winter snowstorm and I'm thinking spring! 16(+)" expected in this area. We were going to leave for my folks to celebrate on Christmas Eve, but we have to push that off till Saturday. Southern, MN is expected to have much more... so Mark and I will have a quiet Christmas! This will be different for both of us as we always travel.
My butterfly card was inspired from a Paper Crafts Magazine. I REALLY like how it turned out!! :) Do you remember this SU! Stipple Butterfly stamp from years back? I made two cards... Diane and Lisa (The Craft's Meow) for there birthdays! Check out Lisa's blog for some fantastic inspiration!! I used my brayer on Glossy Card Stock to create the background behind the butterfly... using a post-it I punched a circle to mask off an area to create the sun.
The Butterfly is embossed in black and using my blender pen and ink pads I started coloring in the areas. I used a couple shades of SU! markers directly to the image also. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Now, Cooper would like to say "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!! He feels left out on my blogging experiences and wanted to pose for this photo and give some Christmas cheer to you all!!

Here's my baby... :)

Have a safe, warm, and enjoyable Christmas!! I'll be spending some "long-over-due-time" catching up on your wonderful posts and creative cards... :) Thanks for popping in for a visit!

SMILES and Merry Christmas!

STVSC37... Dashing Through the Snow!

Hi everyone!!! I had some stamping time last night and I just had to share... :) I received my SU! "Dasher" a week ago and decided to pop into my sweet friends blog at The Craft's Meow (Hi Lisa!!) and seen this fun sketch... Stamp TV Sketch Challenge 37!! The card on the left is the card for the challenge. My 2nd card is a layout I have been wanting to try for some time.
On the challenge card I used DP from DCWV, paper piecing on my Nestie circle cuts and embossed Dasher with white embossing powder. Added snowflakes... the large one is SU! and the small size is Martha Stewart. I added rhinestones to the antlers and the sentiment was so fun to mix using SU! punches to layer.
The second card I free hand cut the landscape out of scrap paper, and used it like a stencil to sponged Chocolate Chip onto Kraft CS. Then I stamped Dasher with Whisper White Craft to emboss in white... well I "FORGOT" to use my Embossing Buddy and ended up have my inked area hold some of the embossing powder too! I decided to see what it would look like after I took the heat gun to it and I LOVED the fun texture and look it gave... so I went with it!! :) My oops worked to my advantage! :) The snowflake is one of last years SU! felt snowflakes, added a boarder using my EK Wave Punch, the sentiment is a $1 stamp at Michael's, and I also used my GellyROll pen around the edges to give more sparkles... Click on photos!
Enjoy!! This week I'm getting ready for a retreat this weekend... CAN I LEAVE "NOW"!! Ha... :) I'm getting excited and have my ideas ready, but not much packed. So my posting might be even less this week. Have a great Sunday evening, thanks for the visit and I very much appreciate your sweet comments!!

Jolly Snowman and Get Well Card... :)

Happy Sunday!! Here is one of my Snowman cards I made this weekend and a 2nd card from Julie's card class. It was perfect, Friday with the snow coming down made me think of a bright "JOLLY" card! I used my Nesties, bright DP's and using my Martha Stewart snowflake punches with buttons. I CuttleBug embossed the background and sponged the edges and high spots with SU! Whisper White. The stamp is from Provo Crafts... to cute! :)

Being the snow has come early this year and we still have leaves on the trees we made this fun fall card. Julie had us make a 4x4 card and making a 2nd fold at the 2" mark. Such a quick and easy card to make. When I came home I used my blender pen to fill in the leaves more with Close to Cocoa. And that fantastic Modern Label Punch rocks with the brads!! The stamp set is Autumn Splendor... in the SU! Holiday Mini Catty and Thoughts and Prayers.

Click on the photo's for a closer look! I'm watching football "Boarder Battle"... Vikings and Green Bay Packers... So far so good for us! I also made a large pot of Chicken Wild Rice soup and Pumpkin Mousse for dessert!!!! Yummmm... :) Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping in for a visit. I always love it when you do... I'm catching up on comments!!

OfficeMax inspiration... for .99 cents!

Happy Saturday blog hoppers! How is your weekend going so far? I stamped a couple hours this afternoon and came up with this card which my inspiration was a pocket folder that I purchased for .99 cents! Yes, can you believe buying something at OfficeMax for that price...LOL!

I was running errands on Wednesday and came across the folder and instantly a few ideas came to me on creating a card. Has that ever happened to you! :) This is pretty much a SU! card except the boarder punch.
I had so much fun making it! The DP is also SU! which is retired I think.

The SU! stamps used are Finest Flourished, Baroque Motifs and Frames with a Flourish. All images are embossed. First layer was SU! Metallic Silver, 2nd layer SU! Detail Black, and 3rd layer SU! Real Red. Some of these powders are pretty old, but still work! :)

This look is different for me, and not sure what to call it? I used my Modern Label Punch for the sentiment embossed in Silver. Click on the photo's for a closer look... IRL the card looks nicer!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day. I plan to do more stamping yet this evening and my hubby is bow hunting right now. Maybe make some popcorn and have a soda... :) Endless possibilities... doesn't take much to make me happy!

Autumn Days... and Happy Firday! :)

Hi everyone... are you ready for the weekend? It sure is autumn in Minnesota. The leaves have bright colors, especially the maples, and we had our first killing frost last night. I said my final good-bye's to my flowers and gardens. Tomorrows high is 37 degrees... burr!

The two cards I have to share tonight are from SU! workshops and Julie's card class. The first card was for my hubby's birthday... he LOVES to hunt! To get the effect on the Top Note we took sponges and daubers to add the colorful background. Then stamped the images over. I embossed "Happy Birthday" and "Wish Big".

On the second card we stamped the turkey 3 times in 3 different colors and cut sections out to layer over the main image. It's hard to see in the photo, but it does give some depth. And I just received my Modern Label Punch... O' what fun! :)

Have a super evening! And enjoy the fall air, fuzzy slippers, apple cider, pumpkin bread, warm chili, caramel apples.... notice I LOVE this time of year! Now to find the time to enjoy it!

Hello everyone!! I had this card made, but no time to post it... LOL! Such a COOL morning in Minnesota! Very different for July weather as we usually have 90's and high humidity!

On to the card now... I'm getting into the fall color mode and using my Nestie Labels die again as my focal point. I decided to use my retired SU! River Rock for my card base. Also added yellow Stickels to the flower tops which is from the set Inspired by Nature... LOVE IT! And finished with a fun ribbon treatment, ver's trying a bow.

Friday... Flower Power!!

Happy Friday!! The weekend is here and that's a good thing, right? :) The 2 cards I have to share tonight I pulled out of my collection in early spring and wanted to show you them when the flowers were in season... LOL! Sunny summer weather!! We had NO sun today, but thought my cards would bring a bit of joy for today.

The cards are pretty cut and dry, which is what I like about them. Using DP's, So Many Scallops, my Scallop Circle punch and sentiments makes for a quick card.

Have a super weekend everyone and be safe! Enjoy the summer sun... as I hope it's shinning your way! :) Thanks for poppin' in for a visit.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #26

Hi Everyone!! Blogger was giving me troubles earlier trying to upload my photo... so here I am now! Today's card is inspired by Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #26. I haven't used my Thoughts & Prayers set in a while and decided to use fall colors for this card. Karen's sketch layout is for a square card, but I decided to use the standard size instead. Change it up a little!! :) This is the first time I used my Nestie Labels Four dies also.

Autumn is stamped in Craft Chocolate Chip and clear embossed. Then I did some sponging, embossed the heads of my LARGE gold brads with Classy Cooper EP. The Vintage Cream cardstock (which is what the image is stamped on.) is from Papertrey Ink and the Ocean Tides Twill ribbon is also. Thanks to Diane "who is such a sweetie" for letting me sample some of PTI cardstock and ribbon!! (Wink) ;)

Hope you enjoy! I'm getting in to the fall colors and not sure why I'm pushing it.. LOL! Have a fabulous day and take sometime out of your day to stamp. Tonight I have Julie's Open House to kick off the NEW SU! catty... can't wait!! Thanks for popin' in... LOVE it when you do!

I'm back... with my Top Note!! :)

Wow, it's been a week since I stamped a card! The 4th of July was very nice and all went well. Nice to get back into a routine now. I even cleaned my craft room as that is where my niece and nephew slept. So it was very nice to stamp last night in a clean room... don't you feel refreshed when getting organized!!

Anywhoo, on to the card! This card was inspired when we did a bit of shopping over the weekend. I seen a framed print I just loved and came up with this idea for a card. Giving it a soft serene feel, using my Top Note and border punch. And you know how I enjoy butterflies!! Which I did the Rock'n Roll
technique.

I traced around the butterfly and filled in the flowers with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen to give more sparkle. Click on the photos for a closer look. The weather is gorgeous here in Minnesota. Nice cool nights and bearable heat during the day time. Enjoy your day my stamping friends and think summer fun!!

Fall Colors... to YOU from me!

Happy Friday! I'm not sure where the week went, but it was FAST. To start out your weekend I have a card to share using fall colors and the LOVELY Top Note die. The colors turned out brighter when taking my photo. I tried editing it and this was the best I could come up with. The CS is Wild Wasabi and Marigold Morning which should be more gold than yellow.

I like how it turned out! And the burgundy felt rick-rack is so rich looking. I embossed my sentiment which has a bit of gold undertone, but hard again to see in the photo. Plus I sponged the edges for more contrast... ENJOY!

(Blogger is being fussy tonight so this gap just has to stay!)

I must share this too... here is a photo of Alex, our Kinship Partner, from this past Tuesday. Mark took him fishing and they had so much fun... Alex LOVES to fish! Mark caught this northern and Alex wanted a photo taken with him holding it... it was a hot night. Alex is going on 9 this August.

Have a super weekend! I'm meeting up with a friend in the Twin Cities area tomorrow. We are having lunch, making an Archiver's run and other fun!! Thanks for poppin' in and keep cool!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #23... Join in!!

Hello, stamping friends!! Last night I decided to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #23. When I first looked at the sketch I was kind of taken... hummm! Then a few things came to mind. On my first card I wanted a FRESH & SUMMERY look... because the heat is on here! This card is pretty much all SU! but the rhinestones which I purchased at Michael's and the wave border punch is from EK. I LOVED making these flowers with sponging the edges and curling the petal tips with the bone folder. :)

For my second card I decided to use the Darling Dots set and going lady-bug style!! Behind the black ribbon I added a Real Red panel that was CB embossed to give a tone on tone effect and some texture. It's hard to see in the photo. Again all SU!, but the CB embossing and black stitched ribbon. I just might try another card using the Trendy Tree set... with fall colors! The weather is warming up and I'm thinking fall... LOL!! (can you tell I'm from Minnesota!)

Enjoy your day ladies (guys too!) I'm working on the invites for the township gathering. Keep your summer smiles on... :)

Enjoy... Michelle

Mojo Monday 91... Bloom!

Hi everyone... SUMMER is here! :) I hope the weather is nice where you are at and enjoying the sun. We have clouds and rain coming in. Good day to stamp!

Last night I had a couple hours to play with the Mojo Monday 91 Challenge using my new Floral Symphony set from Verve!! I'm not happy how the word "Bloom" turned out, not enough contrast! But the rest of the card is nice. These colors are out of my box and tried to follow the sketch as close as I could.

I used my Nesties Label One die to create a panel behind the my image. CB embossed for some texture and sponged the edges using Craft Whisper White. For the flowers I used my SU! markers and Sakura gel pen to add some sparlke.

The rest of the card is pretty easy to follow. I did outline my white butterfly using my Sakura gel pen. Click on the second photo for a closer look at the flowers! Enjoy my stamping friends... :)

Have a super Sunday... thanks for popping in for a visit!!

SC231... Double Dose!

Morning!! Happy Sunday and I hope your weekend is going well, warm and sunny... :) We don't have the warm and sun here, but it's a great day! Yesterday we had a graduation party to attend so didn't have any time to stamp till last night.

I decided to tackle SC231 over at SplitCoast. I had a couple ideas so I have a "double dose" to share with you!!! My first card is using the ever so popular Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa, and Kiwi Kiss colors. This is the first time I used this CUTIE PATOOTIE bird and I hope the wings are in the right position. I looked in the SU! catty to see a sample, but didn't find it right away and was to tired to keep looking... LOL! :) I added a brown button for a fun accent. Wrapped Baja Breeze ribbon around the card and decided not to tie a bow to keep the focus on the bird and embossed background.

My second card I used DP for the 3 panels, my Top Note Die, and found this twill ribbon that has "Happy Everything!" printed on it. I decided to create a star medallion. Added silver pearls to the top corners. Plus sponging around the edges!

Well, I'm off to help the hubby work on the utility shed in my long johns... He, he! Have a super day and thanks for the sweet comments... truly enjoy them ALL!

SMILES.... Michelle :)
