MoJo Monday & CC220... Rockn' Roll!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! The weekend is here and I'm looking forward to it... how about you? Last night I made my 2nd card using MoJo Monday Sketch Challenge and this time I decided to use SCS Color Challenge (CC220). Which was So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie colors.

I found this DP that matches perfectly with Pumpkin Pie and wanted to make a card with my Flight of the Butterfly set. I embossed the So Saffron cardstock with the D'vine Swirls folder and sponged the high parts to get more contrast. On the butterfly I did the Rockn' Roll Technique!! The fun part is I decide to use a button for the butterflies body!! I placed wire through the holes and up the back to create tentacles. I used my tweezers for this... LOL! I should have grabbed a needle nose pliers. The rest is pretty basic. The sentiment is a rub-on from JoAnn's. Click on the photo's for a closer look and I hope you have a chance to play with these challenges this week! SO FUN!!

Thanks for stopping in for a visit and I hope you enjoy!! I love your comments... Have a super weekend and fun in the sun.... :)

Smiles... Michelle :)

Stamps: SU! Flight of the Butterfly, Dot Circle (Hero Arts) Paper: SU! Whisper White, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, DP (Chatter Box) Ink: SU! Your cards are so gorgeous, it just makes me want to cry. I do something and think it looks good and then yours blows mine right out of the water! LOVE this butterfly--so cute and clever, and the rock & roll adds so much dimension!

WOW - another beauty from you and this Mojo Monday sketch! You really have a fabulous way of putting cards together!!
And you've used lots of cuttlebug embossing - you know that's one of my weaknesses - LOL.

What a fun color combo. I love how you use a lot of texture. The button and wire idea is terrific! I'm going to have to steal that idea. ;)

Okay, now I know I'm losing my mind because I could have sworn I commented on this card already! LOL

Michelle, you've done it again, my friend. What a happy, summery card that makes me smile! Those colors are truly stunning together.

Sorry I've been out of touch lately. This has been a crazy week! I hope to post something new tomorrow.

Lots of hugs and smiles,
Lisa

First I want to thank you for the card you sent. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I love the colors, the design, the flowers punched from text paper, the embellsihemnts, the ribbon, the tag, the border punching, the patterned paper and the embossing. Did I miss anything? :-) And did I mention that I LOVE it?! Thanks for the top notes too. Yes, my cricut does cut that shape but I don't often bother to pull the machine out to cut them. I WILL definitely use the ones you sent because they are such great colors. And with your blog as inspiration for how to use it, I have lots of great ideas.

Ok, on to your card. This is another bright and cheery card. I truly never get tired of seeing how you use those butterfly images.
