OCC Challenge... Butterflies!

Hello!! Last night I decided to play along with the OCC Challenge which was a "color challenge" using Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, and Bashful Blue. I also chased Dawn McVey's card lay-out at My Favorite Things! Check it out... :)

I think I have to much Regal Rose going on... I'm more of a Certainly Celery girl... LOL! :) I loved using my Top Note in a different way, the bling, paper piercing and using my twill celery ribbon.

I'm off to watch Dancing with the Stars now... Can't WAIT to see who wins!! Enjoy your evening and enjoy some stamping time... I know I will!

Smiles... Michelle

Stamps: SU! Best Yet, Flight of the Butterfly, Baroque Motifs Paper: SU! Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Whisper White Ink: SU! Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Basic Black Other: SU! Top Note Die, paper piercing, rhinestones (Hero Arts), SU! Celery Twill Ribbon, dimensionals, 1/16" hole punch, etc.

Very pretty card. I don't think you have too much Regal Rose at all.
I'm sad that Giles didn't win Dancing with the Stars, he was my favourite.

Hi Michelle! You're my last stop before bed. I'm already in my jammies and now my comfy bed is calling my name!

What a lovely spring card. I especially love the swirlies combined with the butterflies. What a great idea! You ARE the queen of great ideas. And just a hint of bling. Nice!

So, were you happy that Shawn Johnson won? I heard it was nearly too close to call... what, a 1% margin? But those gymnasts have got to have an edge over others in terms of stamina and flexibility. I didn't watch the whole series, just kept one eye on the action. Too busy keeping up with my soaps in the evenings. (grin)

Hope all is well with you. We're up in the 90's now and there's nowhere to go but up into the 100's from here. Yuck!

Lots of love and hugs,
Lisa

What a great color combo. I would have personally ended up with lots of white, a bit of green and just tidbits of the other colors. But I love that you decided to go bold. Just your style. the popped up butterfly, piercing, corner detail and top note shape are all terrific elements.
