Dasher & Peaceful Wishes... :)

Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I can't believe it's already next week... and then the busy time of year getting ready for Christmas! I have 2 more cards to share from my girls/stamping retreat weekend... the first card is using SU! Peaceful Wishes set and the TOP NOTE! :) (That makes me happy!) I CASE'd a similar card on SCS and the artist is Stampintoo. Check out the card I followed. I added the Real Red around the top note, changed my position of the sentiment and added bronze brads. I used liquid applique on the pine cones which was so fun to give more dimension to the card... I made 4 of these at the retreat and shared with Deb, Diane and Mary! (Hi ladies!!) :)
My second card was inspired by Dasher... LOVE that single stamp. I like this look to give as a masculine card... or the holidays! The CB embossing adds so much in the background, using my SU! Wide oval punch and Lots of Tags dies works so well with the image. I did use my GellyRoll pen for some sparkle but very hard to see in the photo. And yes, I enjoyed sponging around the edges for an aged look... ENJOY!
I'm enjoying the weekend as it's so warm and sunny here. My hubby just left to Bow Hunt till dark. So you know girls what that means... STAMPING TIME!! Fare triad right? He... :) Anyway, I have a few more cards from the retreat to share yet. Stay tune... Have a super weekend and enjoy it in whatever part of the world you live.... SMILES!!

Thanks for popping in... Michelle :)

Hey there my sweet friend! These cards are truly Michelle specials! First, there's that famous top note die cut again, and then there's the awesome CB embossing! And you talked me into getting that deer stamp... it just arrived and I'm inspired by you to ink it up. I'll try not to think about Mark hunting those cute deer.

I've got to get off this computer for now, but I'll be back soon with a nice long catch-up email. In the meantime, I just left you a blog award on my blog.

Love and hugs,
Lisa

Love all of the embossing. Both cards have a very earthy feel to them...love that. I guess it's the pine cones and deer. I agree the second one would be great for a guy. Fab job as usual

Love the pinecones! I was just in the woods today getting some and also cutting some branches to fill my outside planters.

Beautiful cards Michelle! Love the masculine play on Dasher! I've had that stamp for about 3 months and haven't yet inked him up!

Fabulous work Michelle - I especially love your Dasher card - that embossing folder and the colours you've used, looks like vintage wrought iron - gorgeous!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Either I am blind or my Blog Roll is just not telling me you updated until after a day later :( ... I am so loving these two cards! I love the pine cone and the "snow." So pretty! I also love the sponging on the textile texture. Awesome!
