MoJo Monday #120

Nothing like waiting till the last minute to get my MoJo Monday #120 card posted... I think the cut off is SOON! I pulled out my SU! Candy Lane DSP and worked with a dollar stamp from Michael's. I turned the sketch around, but still keeping the same panels.
For some fun I used my Cinnamon and Ruby Slippers Stickles on the SU! hearts, my EK border punch, also added Liquid Pearls around the sentiment, and sponging around the edges. CB embossing... which was the Spots & Dots folder! Enjoy, I must get this posted on the MoJo Monday site... ha! Wish me luck... and thanks for stopping in for a visit!!!

KEEP WARM... Michelle :)

Love this. The way you pulled it all together is just fabulous. Once again you give us lots of yummy details. The liquid pearls to the glitter, embossing and sponging, just great!

BTW-I have this dollar stamp too, but I don't think mine has ever seen ink. Thanks for idea!

All your inking gives this a warm and almost vintage feel, but the whimsical sentiment style and glitter hearts bring this right back around to fun and modern. What a great Vday card. Congrats on getting your mojo card in under the wire.

Ooh lovin' those colours and your card Michelle. And using 'Ruby' Slippers Stickles - well what can I say... fab name lol. I really like the way you haven't used the traditional valentine's colours, they look great! x

PS - in answer to your question about the ruffle flowers that I did on my blog... I cut up an old book of Natasha's. I think book paper works better because it's not quite as stiff. However, I noticed that Lisa over at dahlhouse designs also made them but she printed her own paper, so it must just depend on the thickness. Here is the link to her post about it.. http://dahlhousedesigns.wordpress.com/2010/01/10/paper-flowers/

Hope that helps :o)

Hi - I see I got behind on keeping up with your postings! Love all your new card designs! You are such a good artist with color, texture and design.

I have a question about your use of those liquid pearls. I got a bottle recently, but when I try to use them - they come out with these stiff "DQ" style tips and the glops are so big compared to your tiny dots. What's the technique you use to apply your liquid pearls? I had sort of given up on mine and put them into that 'wish I had never purchased' category! LOL

How is the ice over your way? I have actually quite enjoyed being house bound all weekend long. Been quilting a lot but today switching over to play with my new SU stamps and some papers I got from Basic Grey and Graphic 45! I can hardly wait!

Oh, and congratulations on your newest winning! You deserve it - your cards are beautiful!

Blessings - Mary
