A couple SU! cards to share from class!

Happy Thursday!! Tonight I have 2 cards to share from Julie's SU! card class. The first card is using the SU! Vintage Vogue and Very Vintage jumbo wheel in the mini catalog. Close to Cocoa, Blush Bloom CS and punches for the sentiment. I added the mini white pearls.
The second card is using the technique "Stamping with Sweetened Condensed Milk" which was in the latest Stamp It Magazine! O'boy... by the time the group was done embossing the place smelled like a candy factory! (warm caramel smell) Such an easy way to give a unique effect to any card... and vintage! You stamp your image with sweetened condensed milk, sprinkle a "PINCH" of embossing powder over image and heat emboss! The sugar is what turns brown and the embossing powder adds more image details... The set we used is a NEW SU! set coming out in the next mini catalog for spring.
Enjoy!! Are you watching the Olympics? I have been when I can. Thanks for popping in for a visit and truly enjoy it.... have a great evening!!!

SMILES.... Michelle :)

These are both gorgeous, and I can't wait to see the new mini! Love the look of the condensed milk embossing. I've never tried it, but it is so effective with that image! WOW!

What beautiful cards Michelle! Amazing. I really love the condensed milk technique. I am going to pass that on to my Demo to see if we could do that in our next class!

I really like the vintage feel of the first card. That 3 punch sentiment tag is really cool.

I had seen the condensed milk technique demonstrated on the DIY Scrapbooking show a few years ago (they also used lemon juice and kool aid) but I had never seen anyone actually use it. It does give a very interesting, aged and vintage look. Very nice.

And ... I meant to say!!! Just who would think to stamp with condensed milk??? Where did that thought originate from??? Must be a very creative person ... "hhhmmm ... maybe I will use condensed milk to stamp with" ... giggle!!! Can't say it ever crossed my mind!!! :D

What great cards Michelle. I love the vintage look of the first card, it would work for men so well. What are the sentiment and punches that you used for them? They are gorgeous. (Please don't tell me they are only available in the US lol)

In your second card I love the effect you got with that sweetened condensed milk, sounds like fun and I'm sure it must have taken a lot of restraint not to crack open some lovely sweetie goodies when you smelt those aromas lol.

Beautiful! So elegant!

I watched a bit of the Olympics, but not as much as I should have. I love the skating... and the skiing. Paul and the boys were glued to Curling. So funny!
