Happy Day to YOU and Hubby's Valentine!

Hi Everyone!! WOW, has this week just flew by. Monday night I had Julie's card class and will post a few cards we made. This afternoon I had a few moments to finish my hubby's Valentine's Day card! (I don't have to worry about him seeing this post, he's not a regular follower... ha!)

I started out by punching the hearts with SU! heart punch in Real Red CS and added Ruby Red Stickles... 2 layers for SPARKLES! To give this card a masculine feel I used Kraft CS as my base, and used a few scraps of black
and white DP's. Then using my 1 3/8" square punch, EK border punch, and paper piercing a line. The SU! sets I used are retired... Sketch an Event and Wonderful Wishes. I like how it turned out, I tried to keep it not so girly... the only thing throwing me is the white border trim?!?!? Not sure about it!

The 2nd card and Candy Treat Packet was made last week as a few of us gals got together to enjoy some STAMPING TIME!! Very beautiful and FUN projects.... :)

Click on the photo's if you need a closer view. I took a side shot of the treat packet to show you how think it is. We put 4 Dove candies in a
small SU! Cello bag. Plus don't you just LOVE that Chocolate bunny!! :)

Have a great evening and soon the weekend is here! We have a bowling night and dinner planned. Living on the edge us love birds... LOL! Thanks for popping in for a visit and I hope you like what you see!

SMILES!!

Michelle :)

Fab cards! I love your hubby's card and the white border is PERFECT! Otherwise it could look a bit flat. I'm struggling with my hubby's card - he doesn't even see the point of cards!!!

WOW! You have been busy. I'm hoping some of your creative juice will rub off of me.

Great creations. My fave is hubby's card - great papers, colors. I'm a sucker for all things kraft and it's great for masculine cards.

@Mary J - it took some time for my hubby to appreciate my craft, but he does now and loves cards. So much so that he gets upset if I don't make him cards for his bday, anniversary, etc.

That little treat wrap is fabulous! I love it. So cute. Your DH's vday card is awesome too! I love all that ruby red sparkle! And I love the quilted card! All those papers look great together!

I love your cards and treat wrap. I think the white keeps your DH's card from being too dark. TFS

I really like how you used different patterned papers for the border of your first card but changed one out to red to make it a focal point. Your stickles hearts are super fun. I don't think the border is too frilly at all. The kraft and black really balance out anything that would be considered frilly.

What a beautiful patchwork card. The colors are so pretty.

Your bunny treat packet is fun. I really like that patterned paper.

Hi Michelle. You've been busy too! I think the white makes your hubby's first card look absolutely FAB. It lifts the other colours perfectly. Gorgeous! That 'RUBY' red sparkle is to die for lol. I'm not making Ian a valentine card, he's just totally uninterested in receiving cards lol. He will get a valentine kiss/hug instead lol and maybe a coffee in bed (while I make cards!!) I really like the way you've used your top note with the patchwork effect, looks great, and well who wouldn't want a chocolate bunny, and it's such a yummy treat packet too, lovely!! :o)

I just know Mark loved his card... who wouldn't? It's beautiful! And so are the others... I love the sort of quilted look of your soft pink card, and your Easter card is really cute!

Bowling and dinner sounds good to me, Michelle! You go, you wild and crazy kids!!!

Okay, now I'm really going back to work...
