Top Note... Double Feature!

Morning!! Monday sure came fast and weather is warming up here... :) Over the weekend our garden was over taken by RABBITS!! After church we ran into town to pick up fencing. I have to replant a few things and buy more pepper plants, but we'll keep trying!! Rabbits are cute, BUT!

Last night I finally played with a few goodies I picked up last week! This DP is so yummy and I think it's from AMuse... not marked and I have a short memory! LOL! So I decide to make two versions for a Double Feature. I found a packet of Hero Arts flowers to match, added brads, hardware such as spacers, white pearls, MS branch punches and CB embossing to the mix. So fun to make with a Kraft cardbase. Really POPS!

On the second card I stamped the sentiment in Craft Chocolate Chip, from Hero Arts, and clear embossed. Did some paper piercing and sponged the edges with Creamy Carmel. I tried to get my sentiment to look like a banner with adding a couple pop-dots in the center, but isn't showing up well in the photo... click on the photos for a closer look!

ENJOY everyone! Have a super day and so glad you popped in for a visit... always love it when you do!!

SMILES... Michelle :)

Wow, Michelle, these are two beautiful cards! Love that DP and you are right, kraft does make it pop. I'm really liking the sponging you did on the second card... it frames up the label nestie so well. Love it!

Since you like to use the top note to finish the bottom of some of your cards, I thought of you when I saw

She has a hand cut template that you can use to make the bottom of your card a little different. Let me know what you think.

Oh, I just love a Double Feature!!! These are both gorgeous Michelle! I'm telling you, SU should hire you to demonstrate the Top Notes Die and they'd sell millions!

I can't decide which I like more. Hmmmmm....I'm loving the CB'd background of the first card, but then the banner looks pretty awesome on the second one. Yep, it's a tie! Your flowers and die cut leaves are just perfect!

Bad rabbits!!! They might be cute, but I know they can do a lot of damage to a garden. I hope you're able to keep them away with a bit of fencing.

Big warm hugs from your BBFF,
Lisa

Glad it is warming up for you ... our week has been "freezing" (which is actually code for "colder than we are used to ... but not really that cold") !!! :D I just wish I could stop long enough to play with my stamps! Lots of lovely accents on this card! Thanks! Hugs, Andrea xxx
We get bunnies here, too! But ... they are not too much of a prob!

Beautiful as always. Those flowers are super fun and I love the kraft paper.

Gorgeous!!! I love the paper and the brown color with that. And don't those flowers look pretty bordering the top note shapes.

We never have a problem with deer or rabbits in our gardens. Because we have cats. I guess their smell scares those critters away. Now bears on the other hand.... I had one not more than 15 feet from my house the other night. Apparently cats don't scare them.

STUNNING cards Michelle! I love those rich colours, pretty flowers and leaves! I haven't used my top note in a little bit....time to pull it out...thanks for the inspiration!

Pretty and pretty! Love the colors and the layered flowers and that leaf die...how did I overlook that for so long? Gotta get that!

As for the rabbits, if you have trouble in places you have no fencing, try red pepper. The cheap stuff, .50 a jar at Walmart. Sprinkle it around the plants, they don't like it. And surprisingly, it lasts through some rain. I re-apply every few weeks. But after a while I think they give up! I had rabbits chew through my plastic fencing around my veggies. They left a big hole! I sprinkled the cayenne and they didn't come back! Good luck!
