Merry Christmas! Such a snowy day here and we are still snowed in. Tomorrow we plan to venture out to visit my folks. I can hear snowmobile's going by the house. Since Wednesday night I have been a bit under the weather... lost my voice, coughing, chest congestion, aches, chills, etc. I hope this passes soon! :)This holiday card was so much fun to make... plus a square card! That's different for me... ha! This card was for my sweet blogging friend Lisa at The Craft's Meow. I put a few elements together, followed a layout in the Paper Crafts Magazine, added sparkle to the snowflake, which is hard to see in the photo. (Click on it to get a closer look!) In real life you get a better feel of the card and the gold ribbon is sparkly too. ENJOY!Have a super weekend... any after Christmas shoppers? Some good deals I bet...

Hi everyone! :) Well, here I am posting my "Weekly" post... LOL! I can't believe how time just doesn't allow for posting lately. I feel so bad! I like to share what I have and feel not like a team player lately... SORRY! The two cards I have to share tonight are Gift Card/Money Holders which I made for 2 teens. (Boy and Girl) Both cards I used DP scraps, added ribbon, used my large SU! snowflake punch layering them up with circles and buttons! Simple layout, but with different colors, DP's and ribbon you get 2 different looks. Each snowflake has Stickles added for some sparkle... click on photo's for a closer look!On my second card I used SU! Creamy Carmel to sponge the edges of the DP and snowflake to give a bit of a vintage look. On the inside of each card I have a flap folded up which is held by 2 brads. Just tuck the money or gift card in the pocket... and you have a "fun creative" way to present a gift!! I hope I have inspired you!! ENJOY, and have a super weekend!! Think Christmas... SMILES!

Morning and happy Saturday!! I have two "fun and easy" Christmas cards to share... and I won a Unity Stamp!!! Yes, how exciting... :) It was Rachel's week of "Growing In Unity" at Bucket Full of Cards, and it put me in the running to win a single stamp of my choice from Unity Stamp Company. Rachel has "many MANY" super cute and fun cards to check out! Also she loves trying new techniques and has fantastic tutorials to share with you!! I was on cloud nine when I found out I won... thanks SO much Rachel and Unity Stamp Company! :)My first card I used the SU! Holiday Line up set, colored in the stocking hat with Real Red marker and added a "Mini Pom-Pom" to Rudolph's nose... then added a bit of white Liquid Applique on the hat tassel. Layered it up and added the sentient and black stitched ribbon! EASY & FUN!My second card was designed at Julie's card club class last month. We used the SU! White Gel pen to add small dots to the SU! Snowflakes and using my FAV Top Note as a background. I added the CB embossed swirls and the Martha Stewart star punch behind the button. Well, I'm off to write out more Christmas cards... still in progress! :)Enjoy your day and keep warm!! Another burry day here and perfect for some Chai tea.... thanks for visiting and the sweet comments! I know I'm behind on returning them, but not for long!

Happy Saturday!! Are you getting your Christmas cards ready to mail yet? I have my cards made, list of people to send to, addresses, stamps, etc. But no motivation to sit down and start...ha! Tonight I have a holiday party which should get my holiday spirits warmed up. My hubby is working all weekend and he will be missed tonight. Both cards are inspired by the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog... and are hostess sets. The first card I made at the retreat weekend I had in November and I borrowed Diane's Patterned Pines set... THANKS Diane! This card sample in on the back page of the mini and I added the layer of dry embossed snowflakes using my CB Folder then I sponged high spots with SU! Whisper White and edges with Bashful Blue. My second card was done at Julie's card club last month. We followed a card on Page 5 in the mini also. I added the brads, Rose Red CS and 1/2 pearls next to the sentiment. The scarf is paper pieced!! I hope my cards give you some ideas for making yours... I LOVE SEEING all the creative cards in blog land... you rock my friends!! Have a great weekend and keep warm...

Hi everyone!! :) Any snowflakes in your neck of the woods? We had a few today, but nothing that would stay to enjoy. I realized I didn't share this card from Julie's SU! card class last month. I just fell in LOVE with the Serene Snowflakes set... so many CUTE cards in blog land I've seen. We used SU! Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry CS. She had us stamped the snowflake image on a scrap piece of white CS and then using the 1 3/4" circle punch to punch the image out. Then we attached it to a metal tag. I added the Stickles to the snowflake when I came home and also added the Apron Border on he bottom. That ribbon is FAB!! I hope you enjoy! Life in my craft room has been pretty sparse lately... YIKES! Have a super evening and weekend! Busy for us, but I'm still getting some stamping time in on Sunday... I need a recharge! Ha... SMILES!!Michelle :)
