Christmas cards inspired from SU! Holiday Mini Catalog!

Happy Saturday!! Are you getting your Christmas cards ready to mail yet? I have my cards made, list of people to send to, addresses, stamps, etc. But no motivation to sit down and start...ha! Tonight I have a holiday party which should get my holiday spirits warmed up. My hubby is working all weekend and he will be missed tonight.
Both cards are inspired by the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog... and are hostess sets. The first card I made at the retreat weekend I had in November and I borrowed Diane's Patterned Pines set... THANKS Diane! This card sample in on the back page of the mini and I added the layer of dry embossed snowflakes using my CB Folder then I sponged high spots with SU! Whisper White and edges with Bashful Blue.
My second card was done at Julie's card club last month. We followed a card on Page 5 in the mini also. I added the brads, Rose Red CS and 1/2 pearls next to the sentiment. The scarf is paper pieced!! I hope my cards give you some ideas for making yours... I LOVE SEEING all the creative cards in blog land... you rock my friends!! Have a great weekend and keep warm...

SMILES... Michelle :)

These are both wonderful Michelle!
I really like the embossing and cut on the top card and the fun snowman who lost his hat on the other!

Wow Michelle. I really LOVE that tree card. I love the way the card front is not the whole 4.25x5.5! It looks SO NEAT. I am going to have to try this. Amazing!

Michelle, I love how the first card has that wavy border front...very cool looking! Both cards are beautiful!
I sat down last night and started my cards, writing that is. I think I'm only a few short and I still have some time to finish...yippee!

Very cute. I'm lovin' the Patterned Pines card. you know mine hasn't even seen ink yet! I am NOT done with my cards yet. Although I did make a significant dent yesterday. A friend came over and we mass produced about 24 each.

Sorry you had to go to the party without hubby. I know how that goes. Every spring mine is gone tons. I do a lot of functions without him.

What a fun idea to use the snowflakes embossing folder for the "sky" on your first card. And how cute is that windblown snowman. Great shape dies for your sentiment.

Both are great, Michelle. But the tree card just leaps off the page at me. Love it! And we had about 4 inches of snow on Saturday - here is Washington, DC - of all places!

Great cards. I'm a sucker for dry embossing...love it! I especially love the fact that the sentiment is on the outside/inside...that would save me with coming up with something clever for both. Rock on as usual!

Wonderful cards, Michelle! I love how you cut off the bottom of the tree card to show the sentiment on the inside!
