Hi everyone! How is your weekend going so far? Today I was in the mood to share a card that "shouts spring"!! Need that right now and I love the butterfly look lately. The embossed back ground is chalked, the sentiment is from Verve, which I die cut from my circle Nesties, and added a couple butterflies with silver 1/2 pearls. I like the ribbon treatment... very easy and not bulky to mail! I'm catching up on blogging now, and hope to finish a bit more tonight. The sun is shinning and the temps are warmer, but not far above freezing... LOL! Enjoy your Sunday and crafting time... I hope to do that to! Thanks for taking the time to stop in...
SMILES!

Morning! Well, today I have a card using SU! Heart Treat Cups!! This was one of the cards we made at Julie's card class last week. FUN and we used the new Sale-a-Bration border punch "Scalloped Trim". I added the gingham ribbon and silver 1/2 pearls from Michael's. I plan to give this card to my Niece and Nephew for Valentine's day. Being I send more candy with the card in a padded envelope, and with the card being this thick it will work out perfect... :)Any big weekend plans? I'm working on end of year paper work to get ready for tax time. Plus I'm going to sneak off to my craft room sometime to get creative and surf blog land. I'm missing out I'm thinking... ha! Enjoy your weekend, thanks for the visit, and keep a smile on!!!!

Morning and Happy Friday everyone!! The weekend is finally here... :) And time to post a card. LOL! I like how this card turned out... :) I used a sentiment from my Verve set "Floral Symphony" and fun DP that matched an EK flower punch so well! I had to try the new SU! Butterfly Embosslits... those MINI butterflies are SOOOO cute! I sponged the edge of the punched flower for more depth. We may have a warm up this weekend! (normal temps for this time of year!) So that will be nice. Busy weekend, but I will be posting again soon! I have a fun card using SU! heart shaped cups... :) Better run... thanks for popping in for a nice visit and hope you enjoy! Miss my blogging friends...

Yes, I'm alive!! Sorry for the "Long Time NO Post Situation!" Life can get in the way I guess... LOL! Anyway, I did sit down last night to make this card using Mojo Monday 121 challenge. I pulled out my SU! A Little Birdie Told Me set and SU! retired DP Delicate Dots. I did some doodling around the white panel, paper pieced the birdie and umbrella, stitched around the outer edge (should have used a longer stitch... would look better!) and added some paper piercing. Then I found a few scrap ribbons in my stash to add ribbon treatment... This card was FUN TO MAKE!This weekend we could have freezing rain! Grrrrr... Hope not, I would rather have snow! But it's out of my hands... HA! Thanks for the visit and stopping in to see my creations. JUST LOVE IT! Enjoy and keep warm... Go VIKING'S!!! (I will post before then... :)

Hi Everyone! First I have great news... I was a Mojo Monday winner this month! Talk about being very shocked yesterday when I found out my card won!!!!! :) So many "beautiful" cards and I don't know how 7 can be narrowed down out of 500+ entries... I'm doing the Happy Dance! :)
Tonight I had to try Dawn McVey's "ruffly button flowers"... she has a great video tutorial to show you how. They are very quick to make! I used paper from an old Webster Dictionary for the flower... mine didn't get as poofy being the paper is old and thin. I've seen a few bloggers create there own paper by printing copy paper with black type. I did some zig-zag stitching, added a border, rick-rack, and my sentiment is from Hero Arts. The DP's are Pebbles Inc. and Cosmo. CS colors SU! Chocolate Chip, Mellon Mambo and Pretty in Pink! This card was inspired by one of Dawn's cards... check it out! I like her style, mine is a work in progress! Enjoy your day and thanks for poppin' in for a visit... ME LOVE IT!SMILES... Michelle :)
Nothing like waiting till the last minute to get my MoJo Monday #120 card posted... I think the cut off is SOON! I pulled out my SU! Candy Lane DSP and worked with a dollar stamp from Michael's. I turned the sketch around, but still keeping the same panels. For some fun I used my Cinnamon and Ruby Slippers Stickles on the SU! hearts, my EK border punch, also added Liquid Pearls around the sentiment, and sponging around the edges. CB embossing... which was the Spots & Dots folder! Enjoy, I must get this posted on the MoJo Monday site... ha! Wish me luck... and thanks for stopping in for a visit!!!KEEP WARM... Michelle :)
Morning! Don't fall off your chair, yes I'm posting again... :) This card was inspired by the COLD winter weather and the fact I like Chai tea to warm up. I found this saying from the retired set SU! Winter Wilma. Remember this from years back? :) The coffee cup is from SU! What's Brewin'?. I enjoy pulling out my old sets to give them new life!!The coffee cup is paper pieced, sponged the edges inside my Nestie shapes, and been wanting to use this DP for sometime now! The DP is "Eskimo Kisses" from BasicGrey, Nesties are Labels Four and Tags Five, ribbon is retired SU! Cranberry Crisp, and my EK Boarder punch. Keep warm this weekend! Get some stamping time in (perfect weather for it!) and I can't wait to blog surf... Check out all those FUN and CUTE creations!

Hello Blogging Friends!! Happy New Year... I hope you had an enjoyable time ringing in the new year with friends and family... :) We had an interesting start to New Year's Eve day. By mid morning we had NO WATER! Our well pump burned out and had to be replaced. Luckily we were able to get a hold of a local well drilling company to come out and replace it. Ahhh, the sound of water coming out of the faucets by late afternoon. Very happy and we did have a nice dinner at home and watched a movie!! :) I hope you are warm and cozy were you live! The past 2 mornings we had lows in the -30's... :( So I thought it was fitting to make a card with this saying from Whipper Snapper Designs. Also I followed Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #48. I enjoyed using my Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch, MS snowflake punch, rhinestones, Stickles, and DP from DCWV. I hope you enjoy and thanks for such a wonderful 2009!! Your comments mean the world to me and that's what keeps me creating! Now I'm off to eat Monkey bread just out of the oven and then in the slow cooker I'm trying a new dish from Taste of Home "Simple & Delicious"... Beef with Red Wine Gravy to have over egg noodles.... YUMMY! SMILES and happy Sunday!
Michelle :)
