Happy New Year... Burr baby it's cold out!

Hello Blogging Friends!! Happy New Year... I hope you had an enjoyable time ringing in the new year with friends and family... :) We had an interesting start to New Year's Eve day. By mid morning we had NO WATER! Our well pump burned out and had to be replaced. Luckily we were able to get a hold of a local well drilling company to come out and replace it. Ahhh, the sound of water coming out of the faucets by late afternoon. Very happy and we did have a nice dinner at home and watched a movie!! :)
I hope you are warm and cozy were you live! The past 2 mornings we had lows in the -30's... :( So I thought it was fitting to make a card with this saying from Whipper Snapper Designs. Also I followed Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #48.
I enjoyed using my Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch, MS snowflake punch, rhinestones, Stickles, and DP from DCWV. I hope you enjoy and thanks for such a wonderful 2009!! Your comments mean the world to me and that's what keeps me creating! Now I'm off to eat Monkey bread just out of the oven and then in the slow cooker I'm trying a new dish from Taste of Home "Simple & Delicious"... Beef with Red Wine Gravy to have over egg noodles.... YUMMY!

SMILES and happy Sunday!

Michelle :)

Happy New Year Michelle! Love your card! Such great dp and that sentiment is perfect! I think your temps are even colder than ours, if that's possible. I mean if you get below zero, can you really tell the difference? BRRRRRR! Stay WARM and Happy Stampin'! Your recipes sounds yummy...wish I could join you for dinner! Smiles, Pam :)

Happy New Year, Michelle! This is really pretty. I love the colours and especially the sentiment! Funny, we also lost our water on New Year's DAY for eight hours. I'll never take running water for granted again! ;)

Michelle, this card turned out so great. I really love that blue and green combo! Beautiful! I hope you are staying warm. It has been unseasonably cold here! It was about 29 for the high yesterday and I must say I was not happy about it! I just painted my scrap area/family room and am now back to my computer and scrap area... so hopefully the creativity will start to happen! I am wondering if you posted your Unity freebie creation? I looked but didn't see it, but maybe I just missed it. Hope you have a great new year!

Very appropriate sentiment! I guess it's cold everywhere in the Midwest! We "only" had -20°! Just makes you want to stay inside....and stamp!

Stay warm! The cold has to end sometime!

What a fun card. I really like the background.

The joys of living with a well, huh? We had to have our well pump replaced one time. And our pump was over 180 feet down in the well. Our plumber charged by the foot - ouch! Another time we didn't have water for several days and no one could figure out why. Turns out the wire that connects the well pump to the electric circuit (which is quite long because the well is a distance from the house)had snapped but was still hung up in the trees so it wasn't visible. And how many times has our inside filter given out - too many. But I'd rather deal with that than live in the city any day.

Happy New Year, Michelle! So glad you got your water fixed! This cold weather can make things even worse, eh? I'm so sick of winter already! We've had so much cold and snow, it's ridiculous...lol
Stay warm my friend!

What a fun card! Love the colors and that DP! I'm so glad you got your water back up and running! My DH is a plumber and has had to replace well pumps in the bitter cold, not a fun thing! Compared to you guys we are having a heat wave here in MD, our temps have been in the teens in the morning but we've also had high winds making it feel much colder! I can't imagine how cold it must feel in the -30'S!

Awesome card!

The stamp is incorrect, though. It should be:

"Thoughts ... WARM ..." not
"Thoughts ... WARMS..."

Sorry, it's the English teacher in me.

I sure wish I could come over to your house for dinner! You always make me hungry! LOL

I cannot imagine, not one little bit, what it's like to be that cold. I think the closest I've ever come was in the low 20's, which sounds like a heatwave in comparison. And it's so weird to think that we are about 100 or more degrees apart in temperature. I'm loving it right now because we've had rain, so it feels like winter... a Southern California winter, that is!

I'm loving all your winter cards, Michelle. You have such amazing talent. Reminds me of why I got hooked the first time I found you on line... and you just keep getting better and better!

WARM hugs,
Lisa
