Mojo Monday 121... a bit LATE!

Yes, I'm alive!! Sorry for the "Long Time NO Post Situation!" Life can get in the way I guess... LOL! Anyway, I did sit down last night to make this card using Mojo Monday 121 challenge. I pulled out my SU! A Little Birdie Told Me set and SU! retired DP Delicate Dots. I did some doodling around the white panel, paper pieced the birdie and umbrella, stitched around the outer edge (should have used a longer stitch... would look better!) and added some paper piercing. Then I found a few scrap ribbons in my stash to add ribbon treatment... This card was FUN TO MAKE!
This weekend we could have freezing rain! Grrrrr... Hope not, I would rather have snow! But it's out of my hands... HA! Thanks for the visit and stopping in to see my creations. JUST LOVE IT! Enjoy and keep warm... Go VIKING'S!!! (I will post before then... :)

SMILES... Michelle :)

This is so sweet! A coincidence, too. I was just looking through the cards I saved to CASE at a later date and I came across a card you made using this set and paper (I think last May.) Now I will have to save this one, too.

Hi Michelle.... love the colours you've used. This looks great. Its nice to be back in the circle, and you're SO right....life gets in the way sometimes. I'll trade you some rain for the heatwave we're in at the moment....

I love the colors, the stitching, and that SU set is so cute! I am like you and prefer snow to freezing rain! But at this point, I would just like Moisture! Stay warm,
Rachel B

LOVE the card, Michelle! I like all the special little details like the stitching and little ribbon trio! It makes me want to get my new sewing machine out of the box and USE it on my next card!
Have a great weekend and "GO VIKINGS!"
See you soon!

Ah, this is really cute. I love the colours you've used, and the way you've done your ribbon. Your paper piecing is so effective, and I love your doodling and stitching. I'd love to receive a card like that if I was under the weather! :o)

Really cute. I like the paper pieced elements and the fun combo of patterned papers. The stitching is a fun accent.

We did get freezing rain, sleet, ice, but no snow here. I too would have rather had snow (even though I'm quite sick of it by now) because it's easier to drive in than ice.

So many wonderful ideas, Michelle. Just wish my little brain could tuck them away ... and retrieve them easily. But ... alas ... it doesn't ever work that way! Love the way you have stamped the image onto DSP. And ... love your ribbons! (Love the ribbon idea on the spring card, too!) So many things I want to try ... just wish I could find some play time! xxx

Definitely making me think of Spring... (we're on our third snow for the week and this one is going to be 20-28"). Love your paper piecing and all the special little touches like ribbon and sewing!
