And what a perfect card to share with you from my Monday night card class with Julie... :) I'm excited for Halloween even though we had 2" of snow yesterday and it's still staying... LOL! But this afternoon it's warming up, so I'm sure it will be gone before the kidies get out and enjoy the ghoulish evening! :)
The sets used was SU! Autumn Harvest and Pocket Silhouettes, and yes the Top Note die! (one of my FAV's) We did some paper piecing and using the Modern Label Punch for the cute Happy Halloween sign. I added more sponging around the edges and the paper piercing. My hubby was busy last night so when I came home from work I quick got a few chores done and then in my craft room I went! Being it snowed yesterday I had to make a snowman card. I will share that next and I have 2 more cards from Julie's class too.... stay tune!! :) Enjoy your day stamping friends... have a SAFE evening!! SMILES... Michelle :)
Happy Saturday blog hoppers! How is your weekend going so far? I stamped a couple hours this afternoon and came up with this card which my inspiration was a pocket folder that I purchased for .99 cents! Yes, can you believe buying something at OfficeMax for that price...LOL!
I was running errands on Wednesday and came across the folder and instantly a few ideas came to me on creating a card. Has that ever happened to you! :) This is pretty much a SU! card except the boarder punch. I had so much fun making it! The DP is also SU! which is retired I think.
The SU! stamps used are Finest Flourished, Baroque Motifs and Frames with a Flourish. All images are embossed. First layer was SU! Metallic Silver, 2nd layer SU! Detail Black, and 3rd layer SU! Real Red. Some of these powders are pretty old, but still work! :)This look is different for me, and not sure what to call it? I used my Modern Label Punch for the sentiment embossed in Silver. Click on the photo's for a closer look... IRL the card looks nicer! Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day. I plan to do more stamping yet this evening and my hubby is bow hunting right now. Maybe make some popcorn and have a soda... :) Endless possibilities... doesn't take much to make me happy! SMILES... Michelle :)
Morning everyone! Well, it's Friday and fall is in the air here in Minnesota. And what perfect card to share with pumpkins and fall colors... :)
I decided to pull out my Nesties and DP that I haven't used in ages! The pumpkins were SO fun to make using SU! oval punches, SU! Swirls die, and Gelly Roll pen for some sparkles around the edges. I also did some "Doodling" around the lower Nestie shape. The paper piercing adds so much too.
Take a look at my close up and click on the photo's to enlarge. Enjoy!
Any big plans for the weekend? I have a girls stamping retreat weekend coming up in 3 weeks that I need to get my ideas going on what I want to work on... before you know it I'll be out of time to plan. Yikes!
I'm planning on being home most of this weekend and a blog surfing I go.... YES! I so miss everyone! So the keyboard will be smoking and can't WAIT to see all the fun and creative creations you have. Thanks for the visit, taking a peek and your time! Have a super weekend... STAMP!SMILES... Michelle :)
Finally, a post! Right... :) Sorry for my absence. Last week we moved our office to a brand new location (VERY NICE!) and I had some LONG days into the evenings working. And over the weekend was my catch up. On Sunday it was such nice weather I was working in the yard to get a few things winterized. Pulled bulbs, cover the A/C unit, washed a few windows, shrubs, etc. Now only if I would have giving Cooper a bath the day would have been complete... ha! He's still smelly and very hairy! In a couple weeks he goes in to have his "Spa Day" which includes a bath, trim and cutting his nails. On to the cards.... I understand this card design was in the SU! Demo Magazine. The 2nd card is what we made at Mary's SU! workshop in September. I had so much fun making it that I made another card with pink and pumpkin pie tones. This card is perfect to up-selling your SU! punches... and what an amazing cards a girl can make
with punches... WOW! I did use some non-SU! decorative edge scissors I own on the ice-cream bowls. And added some CuttleBug embossing in the back ground. Well, off to bed I go! I wish everyone a warm Minnesota SMILE!! And a day full of colorful fall leaves... 'tis the season! He... :) Thanks for popping in for a visit. I haven't blogged much in over a week. All the comments I do receive I do return the favor and let it be known I have not forgotten about you!!!!
Hugs and SMILES!Michelle :)
I thought it was fitting to make a card today with Snowman and Snowflakes being it feels like winter around here... ha! This afternoon I made some time to stamp and pulled out my DP from last years SU! Country Living Holiday Packet. The card I CASE'd was from Debbie at Debbie P's Place. She is so inspiring and it's always fun to visit her blog... take a peak!!
I used my "fun" new SU! snowflake punch and added a button with twine. I don't have the Nestie oval dies, but have a scallop scissors that works perfect. In the second photo, I used my Gelly Roll pen which is perfect for fine detail glitter effects. (Click on the photo for a closer look!)ENJOY! I'm off to watch Desperate House Wives... Dancing with the Stars tomorrow night! Have a great week and think STAMPING thoughts!SMILES... Michelle :)
Can you believe I'm posting again, second day in a row... WOW! It must be the snow on the ground and strong winds today...burrry outside! Cooper (our golden retriever) and I ventured out for a morning walk in my long-johns, winter jacket, and all the warm hats and mitts I could find... Ha :)This past weekend I made some fall cards to mail to a couple SWEET friends of mine. I CASE'd Nancy's card from iStamp. She used SU! Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon which gave more contrast than mine. But I did find DP with Polka Dots... :) I enjoy the Trendy Tree set and yes I used my Modern Label Punch again. Pop in to Nancy's blog for some fantastic cards and check her iPICKS for the week... what inspiration! Enjoy your evening my stamping friends! Keep warm... or cool depending where you live. More snow on the way here, an inch or two. Thanks for the visit... SMILES!
Michelle :)

Hi everyone... are you ready for the weekend? It sure is autumn in Minnesota. The leaves have bright colors, especially the maples, and we had our first killing frost last night. I said my final good-bye's to my flowers and gardens. Tomorrows high is 37 degrees... burr! The two cards I have to share tonight are from SU! workshops and Julie's card class. The first card was for my hubby's birthday... he LOVES to hunt! To get the effect on the Top Note we took sponges and daubers to add the colorful background. Then stamped the images over. I embossed "Happy Birthday" and "Wish Big". On the second card we stamped the turkey 3 times in 3 different colors and cut sections out to layer over the main image. It's hard to see in the photo, but it does give some depth. And I just received my Modern Label Punch... O' what fun! :)Have a super evening! And enjoy the fall air, fuzzy slippers, apple cider, pumpkin bread, warm chili, caramel apples.... notice I LOVE this time of year! Now to find the time to enjoy it!SMILES... Michelle :)
Here is the Christmas card I mentioned I was going to share with you!! I made this at a SU! Workshop and boy was it fun to make... :) I'm giving credit to Mary who was the demonstrator and is similar to the sample in the SU! mini catalog. The new punch works perfectly with this stamp set and also the rub-ons.
I added the white trimmed boarder on the left side and organdy ribbon.
Well off to get more done. Today was very nice, and I was in the garage and yard cleaning. Even combed Cooper, our golden retriever, who is such a baby! Have to love those 4 legged friends... Have a super weekend my stamping friends!!
SMILES... Michelle :)
Hi! Happy Friday to you and I'm so happy the weekend is here... Woo, hoo! :) Fall is in the air and the leaves sure are changing colors. We have rain here tonight and just before dark I was looking out my kitchen window at the fall colors and the rain gives them such a bold look!I have two more Archiver's ScrapFest cards to share with you. The first card is by BasicGrey and the 2nd card is by American Crafts. I just LOVE the fun fall colors on the Autumn Memories card. The DP is very pretty!American Craft has such bright modern colors I enjoy. So styling and just so simple! That's perfect for the on the go stamper... like me lately!
Are you all watching Dancing with the Stars? I just love watching people professionally dance ... it will be an interesting season! Enjoy your evening! I have a SU! Christmas card to share... stay tune! SMILESMichelle :)
Hi Everyone!! Don't fall off your computer chair as I'm posting a few cards from attending Archiver's Scrap Fest 2009 this weekend... :) Being I live 2 1/2 hours from the Mall of America I finally had the opportunity to go this year with my stamping friends in the Twin Cities area. It was so nice to visit, catch-up, and do some stamping. Talk about LONG lines, there were 32 make and take stations and we accomplished 8! So you can tell how long we stood in line. This was a HUGE 3 day event (we only did Saturday) and very fun... plus you could get some good bargain's at the "Saving Spot", a mini store Archiver's had set up.
I have a couple cards to share and as time allows I will post more. The first card was from the Cosmo Cricket booth. It's a 4X4 card and I like how we stamped the sentiment, cut between the letters and wrapped it around the back side of the circle. And roughing up the edges makes it even more fun!The second card is from Doodlebug Design... I LOVE there DP's and felt brads! Very simple card and the chunky glitter adds so much. I was so happy to get back home last night and my feet were happy too! Right Jackie and Carmell!?!?! (WINK) ;) I'm helping my hubby get ready for a hunting trip, taking care of the produce from the garden, and getting ready for a weekend of PEACE and QUIET! Stamping is on my list and I do have cards to show you! I miss everyone! I will be honest, I haven't done much blog surfing and sure miss being out in blog land. Have a super Sunday evening... SMILES! Michelle :)
