Happy Friday... Thoughts and Prayers!

Happy Friday!! The weekend is here... and for me it's a bitter sweet kind. Thursday morning I received a phone call saying my Grandma passed away. She was 90 years old!

So this afternoon I made a card using my new Thoughts and Prayers set... not thinking the first card I'd be making would be a sympathy card! So I wanted relaxing colors and found this DP in my collection from Pixiepress.
I used Classy Copper EP on my "With Sympathy" saying and added Pearl White Lumiere to my Bordering Blue dove for more shine. I used SU! Old Olive and Chocolate Chip markers for coloring the tree. I love how the tree is off center!! :) Plus the paper piercing adds do much. Click on the photo's to get a closer look... ENJOY!

Thanks for visiting blog surfers!! I always enjoyed that.... Love the visits! Have a super weekend.... SMILES!!

Michelle :)

Michelle,

I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. It sounds as if it was unexpected. Although I have found it's no easier when you know it's coming. I echo Andrea's thoughts, it must have a hard card to make. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Hugs!
Shelley

I'm so very sorry to hear about your grandmother. Mine is about the same age and is in hospice right now - so it won't be long for her.

This is a lovely card. The color combo is just beautiful. I like the embossed sentiment and the dove punch.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My father would have been 93 today. It's hard to lose loved ones no matter how old.
I just found your site today; love your work. Thanks for sharing.

So sorry for your Grandma, and happy for her too. My Aunt died at 92 and she used to say to me, Shirley I don't want to live forever. It was still sad when I lost her though. A very beautiful card in her honor.
