The Art of Life...

Morning! We woke up to snow again and maybe more coming... is it spring yet?! LOL.. :)

Today I have a card to share using SU! The Art of Life set. I needed a masculine card and thought this would be fitting. I kept my colors warm and earthy. Used my jumbo Rough Texture wheel for the background on my Kraft CS. The vine is embossing in SU! Old Fashioned Olive (retired), and did some chalking behind the vine for more warmth. I distressed the edges for a rough look!

Have a super Thursday everyone and the weekend is just about here... yeah! Thanks for popping in and I love it when you do... ENJOY!

Michelle :)

Stamps: SU! The Art of Life Paper: SU! Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Naturals, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive Ink: SU! Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, VersaMark Other: SU! Old Fashioned Olive EP, Twine (?), dimensionals, SU! Distressing Tool, Stampin' Pastels, antique gold snaps (?), etc.

A perfect masculine card, that could actually be used for anyone! Those are hard to do, but you nailed it!

Hope you're not too cold and shivery. Too bad Phil saw his shadow this year, but hopefully you'll see spring weather soon. I won't tell you it's sunny and in the low 80's out here... and I long for cold weather. I'm nuts!

Lots of love,
Lisa

Yes...I woke up to the snow too! I like everything about this card. Especially the color combo. What's caulking by the way?

Hi Michelle! I like to shop at craft direct too. I get to Fargo more often though...Hobby Lobby and Michaels. My favorite store is at Moorhead center mall..K and K crafts. I won't be going there for awhile..isn't the flooding terrible? We have some here, one of my co-workers {from Osage}had to take a canoe from her house to get to a road for someone to pick her up to get to work yesterday!Hope Motleys doing OK!

Hi Michelle. I love your masculine card, aren't they just the hardest to do, why is that?!!! I love the way you've used that textured wheel, I've not seen that one, it looks really useful :o) Our weather is dull here, but no snow. Keep looking up, it will be Spring before you know it! :o)

Has been very rainy here in the Carolinas, but Spring is really here. The daffodils are out and the birds are singing when it isn't raining. LOL

Your card is just so warm and lovely! The way you did your words and the image are so creative!

I think it's so clever how you used your Rough Texture wheel on the diagonal. It looks so nice, the whole card!
