I decide to use the OCC Challenge this week. Also giving myself a challenge using Almost Amethyst... It's not a fav of mine. If you could have seen me making this card... I had strange facial expressions and took me 2 hours to figure it out! LOL!
Another challenge is I don't have any Oval Nestie's. So I used an oval template to cut my Whisper White out and then used my scallop scissors. That took me a while, but happy with the out come. If you notice I did some paper piercing on the Almost Amethyst DP which has a Harlequin print. I seen this idea in the latest Paper Crafts Magazine. Also my tree has pink beads attached to give more of a "flower bud" effect. This was inspired by a friend of mine Laura which she made a card using smaller beads in clusters of 3 to give an AWESOME effect... so pretty Laura!! (*wink*)
I hope you enjoy! Thanks for reading my bit of humor in making this card... and I always love your visits!!

Soooo pretty Michelle, even with the vision of you pulling faces - LOL! I can't believe you cut those scallops and ovals by hand!! Not sure I'd even attempt THAT!!! Love the use of the beads too. I REALLY hope we get this set in our next Catalogue - you've made be put it on my wish list already!
xXx
Sooo cute Michelle!! I love this card!
Gorgeous, i love your flowers.
GORGEOUS!!!! It's so springy and girly! LOVE it, Michelle!
AWESOME! I really like this tree used as a non-sympathy card. The beads are such a great detail. I also like how you piereced the patterned paper. I really thought you used nesties until I read your description. Good job on making do. And good for you for using a little used color.
I Love these colors, Michelle! I am SO ready for spring! :D
Beautiful card. Love the "bud effect". Great color combination...definitely says SPRING! Fab job as always!
Oh my goodness, Michelle, this is so pretty... I'm speechless!!! Everything about it is lovely. I can't believe you actually hand cut that oval border! The tree is gorgeous! Sponging the embossed mat was inspired. The whole thing is WONDERFUL! (I guess I'm not speechless after all...hehe.) Anyway, it's a beautiful card and you are one mighty talented lady and a treasured friend to me.
Hugs,
Lisa
What a gorgeous card. Now, if that doesn't say Spring, I don't know what does. Love the soft colours.
Wow! Your card is stunning. I love the way you've paper pierced it and the way you have used beads for buds, it's gorgeous!
This is just a work of art, so beautiful. I love all the extra details!!
What a beautiful card! I love all the details you have added. The beads are perfect!! Your scallop turned out perfect too. Will have to try it with my scissor too.
This is definitely a great set. It is on my list for next to buy!
TFS!
Wow your card is so gorgeous!!! I love everything about it and even though it took you 2 hours to make it was well worth it, lol! I really like all the textures and layers that you used and the little pink beads on the tree branches look wonderful!
Wow! There is so many great things to look at on this card. The beads are fab! The paper piercing along the argyle, clever! The embossing, flower brad, ribbon, butterfly....it's all good!
Sadly, my entry is a COMPLETE BUST! I haven't posted it yet. I will, reluctantly. I was try to make a card with a card base I had already started. I should of just pitched it and started new.
Michelle, this card just makes me sigh! I just got this set and I LOVE what you did here...the colours the piercing, the beads! Such beautiful inspiration and a breathe of spring air!
