Happy Father's Day... Top Note!

Burr! It's cold baby... :( This morning we woke up to frost in the area. I'm glad I covered my plants!!

I've been working on a couple Father's Day cards and came up with these using my Frames with a Flourish set... this set is on the SU! retired list! Plus you know how much I like my Top Note die!!

I found some DP that worked perfectly with Not Quite Navy, Garden Green and River Rock. Happy Father's day is gold embossed on both cards. I added some VERY LARGE gold brads in the corners... I must have gotten them at a office shop a while back. Then doing some paper pierced around the Top Note. I used my CuttleBug to emboss my Metallic Bronze cardstock with the Tiny Mosaic pattern to give a masculine feel. The photo doesn't show the metallic look very well, try clicking on the photo for a closer look!
Here I stamped my top and bottom designs with Craft Chocolate Chip and clear embossed. Both cards have a sophisticated look... Enjoy!

Now off to hang my curtain panels in our spare bedroom... can't wait to see the results!!

Have a super day my stampin' friends!! Remember to stamp and SMILE today... he! Thanks for poppin' in! :)

Smiles... Michelle :)

Stamps: SU! Frames with a Flourish, All-Year Cheer 2 Paper: SU! Garden Green, Not Quite Navy, River Rock, Metallic Bronze (Michael's), DP (DCWV) Ink: SU! It's cold here, too! Doesn't seem like June weather at all.

Your cards are so great! I really love argyle for men's cards, and I love how you stamped on the dp on the second one.

Hi, Michelle! I love your latest creations! The bronze card stock looks great. ( FYI - Did you know that it has a black core and it looks fabulous when you tear it?)
I will see you soon!

I am really beginning to love my top note too! Your cards are very 'hansom!' They are very elegant as well. I might have to borrow the split top note idea for a father's day card of my own!

FAbulous cards Michelle! You always show me new ways to use stamp sets I tend to avoid. Now I have to dig out Frames with a Flourish...you've inspired me!

You definitely rock that Top Notes die!!! I love both cards, but I think the second one is my favorite. I like the way you did the swirl above and below the greeting. Nice touch using gold embossing for the lettering...and those ginormous brads. Very cool!

We had the strangest weather today... thunder storms and lightening and some rain. Crazy! We rarely see that out here. Paul and the kids and I found it rather fascinating, but I guess the lightening started some fires, and killed a woman in a nearby town when the tree she was standing under was struck and fell on her. Sad. It will probably be humid here tomorrow.

My jammies are calling for me, so off I go.

Big hugs and smiles to my very talented and creative friend!
Lisa

These do have a very "country club" feel to them with the argyle paper, flourishes and brads. Great guy cards.
