More to share... ENJOY!

Morning! I have more to share... :) The first card, I made two versions using different ribbon treatments. Has lots of color! Hope your weekend is going well. It was raining on and off Saturday afternoon , so that meant some stamping time! See what I come up with... ha!

ETA: Here are the directions I received from Julie's class for the Slit Punch Border. Draw a line 3/8" in on cardstock. Start punching with the slit punch, lining up the flat side of the circle on the line. Punch side by side, but not overlapping. Once you have punched all along the edge. Fold back. Now insert a different color paper strip, and you have 2 tone colored circles.

Enjoy! I'm setting up another post for Monday. Hope your day is going well and thanks for the visit.... SMILES!

Just me again!!

Hi everyone! Did you have a great Memorial Day weekend? Sure went fast, but I enjoyed the time we had and the yard work we accomplished! The weather for both Sunday and Monday was very nice. Tonight I have a few more cards to share with you.
My first card was a CASE from Lynn Put at The Queen's Scene this was the first time I used my SU! butterfly punch.
The 2nd card was from Julie's card class and we had so much FUN using the SU! punches to create this cutie!! I added the embossed background with some sponging on the high spots.

The last card is a spin on a few card ideas out of the new Paper Crafts "Card Creations" magazine. Using punches and scraps of DP's... always nice using those little pieces up. :) Enjoy your evening! Thanks SO much for visiting and all the sweet comments... now I'm off to blog hop... see you in a bit! :)

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm alive!!! :) Life sure can get busy, but that is what makes us strong and patient! I had many requests to share my cards from friends, bloggers and club gals that I thought it was time to share... finally! Some of these cards have been mailed or hand delivered, but I did take photo's!! Smart thinking... right! Ha :)
I love this color mix and DP... the square scallop edge I used my scissors to match up the comers! Not to bad a job I might say... :)
Fun layout and I enjoy the Cupcake theme going on!! The ribbon and pearls were the perfect touch to this card... :)

My 3rd card was from Julie's Card Club... what fun! I enjoy the SU! embossed BG... I sponged the high spots with Close to Cocoa to make the image pop!

Happy Spring!!!

Hi Everyone!!!! Sorry for the long span on not posting... and for the kind e-mails to see if I'm OK. Yes, I'm doing great!! In February I started a new job and truly enjoy it! I'm trying to find a balance with home and work, and didn't have much luck the past two weeks! From the little things that had to be done, work, and a few unexpected weekend ventures it's been busy. But, who isn't! So I'm alive and kicking! All is well and Saturday evening I finally STAMPED!!! (I told my hubby if there is no emergency "I'll be LOCKED in my craft cave!!"... ha!)
Now the card... with spring staring this weekend, I figured a butterfly card would be perfect. I received my SU! Beautiful Butterflies die a few weeks ago and it was screaming for some LOVE! With picking out my DP's first I worked my colors and layout from that point. SU! River Rock, Real Red and Whisper White choice of colors, Swiss Dots embossing, sentiment is by Stampendous and DP's by Cosmo Cricket and Pebbles Inc. The cluster of buttons was a fun add-on!!

I plan to keep posting a couple times a week, but time will tell! I have lots of comments to follow-up on and I promise I will!! You are my inspiration... SMILES!

Celebrate YOU!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! Well, spring is on my mind and this is what I came up with today. I decided to use butterflies, SU! "Springy" colors, and I made a knot in the ribbon for something different! The layout I followed is on page 64 in the new "Stamp It" magazine. I changed it up a bit, and LOVE the cards in this years issue! I hope you enjoy... :)
Yes, I did a bit of sewing on my card! I had to do it twice as the first time it was BAD... need I say more? Ha... Any big weekend plans? I'm catching up around the house, and hubby is enjoying the outdoors. I'm getting into the spring cleaning mode, and plan to venture on cleaning our bedroom closets... major overhaul and long over due! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in!!

BIG Smiles...

Thinking of you!

Hi everyone!! Well, today I have a card to share using a simple scrap of DP I found, adding ribbon/button, then decided to stamp swirls with a sentiment for a finishing touch. This card came together very well with the "Scraps" I had laying around my craft room... it's amazing what you can find... right!?? :) The white stripe in the ribbon really adds to this card!

I also relieved a RAK (random act of kindness) in the mail a while back and decided to share this beauty made by Allison from Stampin' When I Can!!! She is such a sweet heart and I always enjoy visiting her blog. Don't you love how well the DP's work together... and the ribbon/button treatment! We're watching the Olympic US and Canada hockey game and just taking it easy this afternoon. LOVE lazy Sunday afternoons... and the sun is shinning so brightly. It's melting too! Thanks for stopping in and have a wonderful week!!

Happy Together!

Hi everyone!!! Hope your weekend is going well and enjoying the Olympics. This weekend I worked at a Woman's Expo which was so much FUN! Lots of great ladies I met and just seeing faces from the area. Our local health system sponsored it and we had many fabulous vendors on hand. Plus the lunch was YUM-O! (Choice of 4 kinds of salads, water and a nutrition bar!) Right up my alley... I love salads!
Today's card is one we made at Julie's SU! card class... sorry I don't have a creation to share of mine YET! LOL... :) The set used was Happy Together, colors: SU! Real Red, Very Vanilla and Taken with Teal. We used the Bigz Dies Two Tags and SU! Scallop Circle Punch. Very simple and CUTE!! I better get some dinner going... Enjoy your evening!!!

Thanks for the visit and SMILES!

A couple SU! cards to share from class!

Happy Thursday!! Tonight I have 2 cards to share from Julie's SU! card class. The first card is using the SU! Vintage Vogue and Very Vintage jumbo wheel in the mini catalog. Close to Cocoa, Blush Bloom CS and punches for the sentiment. I added the mini white pearls.
The second card is using the technique "Stamping with Sweetened Condensed Milk" which was in the latest Stamp It Magazine! O'boy... by the time the group was done embossing the place smelled like a candy factory! (warm caramel smell) Such an easy way to give a unique effect to any card... and vintage! You stamp your image with sweetened condensed milk, sprinkle a "PINCH" of embossing powder over image and heat emboss! The sugar is what turns brown and the embossing powder adds more image details... The set we used is a NEW SU! set coming out in the next mini catalog for spring.
Enjoy!! Are you watching the Olympics? I have been when I can. Thanks for popping in for a visit and truly enjoy it.... have a great evening!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Wishing you and yours a fabulous day full of love and lots of CHOCOLATE!! That's the best part for me... LOL! I made a very SWEET Cheesecake dessert on Friday that we have been enjoying it all weekend. In honor of this special day... here is a valentine I made using this "Ever so CUTE" DP from BoBunny . I just love it!! I added an embossed texture, along with using my EK border punch. I kept the card balanced with the DP's colors and style.
Enjoy your special day! Love is in the air... maybe some card making time too. Thanks for the visit and I always love it when you do!

Happy Day to YOU and Hubby's Valentine!

Hi Everyone!! WOW, has this week just flew by. Monday night I had Julie's card class and will post a few cards we made. This afternoon I had a few moments to finish my hubby's Valentine's Day card! (I don't have to worry about him seeing this post, he's not a regular follower... ha!)

I started out by punching the hearts with SU! heart punch in Real Red CS and added Ruby Red Stickles... 2 layers for SPARKLES! To give this card a masculine feel I used Kraft CS as my base, and used a few scraps of black
and white DP's. Then using my 1 3/8" square punch, EK border punch, and paper piercing a line. The SU! sets I used are retired... Sketch an Event and Wonderful Wishes. I like how it turned out, I tried to keep it not so girly... the only thing throwing me is the white border trim?!?!? Not sure about it!

The 2nd card and Candy Treat Packet was made last week as a few of us gals got together to enjoy some STAMPING TIME!! Very beautiful and FUN projects.... :)

Click on the photo's if you need a closer view. I took a side shot of the treat packet to show you how think it is. We put 4 Dove candies in a
small SU! Cello bag. Plus don't you just LOVE that Chocolate bunny!! :)

Have a great evening and soon the weekend is here! We have a bowling night and dinner planned. Living on the edge us love birds... LOL! Thanks for popping in for a visit and I hope you like what you see!

Warm and rich looking colors!!

Morning! Happy Saturday... :) Last night I "got creative"! I sure hit a dry patch the past couple weeks. But when I checked out Gina K. Organize it Card Sketch at Stamp TV using these BEAUTIFUL Basic Gray Indian Summer DP's... I just had to play along.

I decided to use SU! Pocket Silhouettes, Upsy Daisy and Great Friend to create the images. CS is SU! Baroque Burgundy (yes, I still have it!), Creamy Carmel, Basic Black and Whisper White. Then for the ribbon treatment I use SU! Taupe Grosgrain ribbon and a smaller piece of stitched ribbon over lapping. I did my own border by hand... my days in Graphic Arts kicked in... LOL! :)

I just LOVE this DP, did I say that already... ha! Take a peek at Gina's beautiful cards. She has many more combo's to enjoy!!

If you are getting snow with this big winter storm be safe! Blizzard conditions in some area's... but great "creative crafting" weather, RIGHT!! Enjoy your weekend and the Super Bowl! The commercials are the best part for me... :) Thanks for your sweet comments!!

Edited to add: Check out Ruby 2 Shoes for some "GREAT BLOG CANDY" girls!!! She has such fabulous cards... pop in and take a look... and sign up!

Thinking Spring!!! :)

Hi everyone! How is your weekend going so far? Today I was in the mood to share a card that "shouts spring"!! Need that right now and I love the butterfly look lately. The embossed back ground is chalked, the sentiment is from Verve, which I die cut from my circle Nesties, and added a couple butterflies with silver 1/2 pearls. I like the ribbon treatment... very easy and not bulky to mail!
I'm catching up on blogging now, and hope to finish a bit more tonight. The sun is shinning and the temps are warmer, but not far above freezing... LOL! Enjoy your Sunday and crafting time... I hope to do that to! Thanks for taking the time to stop in...

SU! Heart Treat Cups!

Morning! Well, today I have a card using SU! Heart Treat Cups!! This was one of the cards we made at Julie's card class last week. FUN and we used the new Sale-a-Bration border punch "Scalloped Trim". I added the gingham ribbon and silver 1/2 pearls from Michael's. I plan to give this card to my Niece and Nephew for Valentine's day. Being I send more candy with the card in a padded envelope, and with the card being this thick it will work out perfect... :)
Any big weekend plans? I'm working on end of year paper work to get ready for tax time. Plus I'm going to sneak off to my craft room sometime to get creative and surf blog land. I'm missing out I'm thinking... ha! Enjoy your weekend, thanks for the visit, and keep a smile on!!!!

Morning and Happy Friday everyone!! The weekend is finally here... :) And time to post a card. LOL! I like how this card turned out... :) I used a sentiment from my Verve set "Floral Symphony" and fun DP that matched an EK flower punch so well! I had to try the new SU! Butterfly Embosslits... those MINI butterflies are SOOOO cute! I sponged the edge of the punched flower for more depth.
We may have a warm up this weekend! (normal temps for this time of year!) So that will be nice. Busy weekend, but I will be posting again soon! I have a fun card using SU! heart shaped cups... :) Better run... thanks for popping in for a nice visit and hope you enjoy! Miss my blogging friends...
