Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Such a snowy day here and we are still snowed in. Tomorrow we plan to venture out to visit my folks. I can hear snowmobile's going by the house. Since Wednesday night I have been a bit under the weather... lost my voice, coughing, chest congestion, aches, chills, etc. I hope this passes soon! :)
This holiday card was so much fun to make... plus a square card! That's different for me... ha! This card was for my sweet blogging friend Lisa at The Craft's Meow. I put a few elements together, followed a layout in the Paper Crafts Magazine, added sparkle to the snowflake, which is hard to see in the photo. (Click on it to get a closer look!) In real life you get a better feel of the card and the gold ribbon is sparkly too. ENJOY!

Have a super weekend... any after Christmas shoppers? Some good deals I bet...

Thinking of you... and Christmas Wishes from Cooper!

Merry Christmas everyone!! Yes, I'm strange... I post a butterfly card right before the holidays! Ha... I just don't have a holiday card to share quite yet. Or is it that we're in for a major winter snowstorm and I'm thinking spring! 16(+)" expected in this area. We were going to leave for my folks to celebrate on Christmas Eve, but we have to push that off till Saturday. Southern, MN is expected to have much more... so Mark and I will have a quiet Christmas! This will be different for both of us as we always travel.
My butterfly card was inspired from a Paper Crafts Magazine. I REALLY like how it turned out!! :) Do you remember this SU! Stipple Butterfly stamp from years back? I made two cards... Diane and Lisa (The Craft's Meow) for there birthdays! Check out Lisa's blog for some fantastic inspiration!! I used my brayer on Glossy Card Stock to create the background behind the butterfly... using a post-it I punched a circle to mask off an area to create the sun.
The Butterfly is embossed in black and using my blender pen and ink pads I started coloring in the areas. I used a couple shades of SU! markers directly to the image also. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Now, Cooper would like to say "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!! He feels left out on my blogging experiences and wanted to pose for this photo and give some Christmas cheer to you all!!

Here's my baby... :)

Have a safe, warm, and enjoyable Christmas!! I'll be spending some "long-over-due-time" catching up on your wonderful posts and creative cards... :) Thanks for popping in for a visit!

SMILES and Merry Christmas!

Two Gift Card Holders...

Hi everyone! :) Well, here I am posting my "Weekly" post... LOL! I can't believe how time just doesn't allow for posting lately. I feel so bad! I like to share what I have and feel not like a team player lately... SORRY! The two cards I have to share tonight are Gift Card/Money Holders which I made for 2 teens. (Boy and Girl)
Both cards I used DP scraps, added ribbon, used my large SU! snowflake punch layering them up with circles and buttons! Simple layout, but with different colors, DP's and ribbon you get 2 different looks. Each snowflake has Stickles added for some sparkle... click on photo's for a closer look!
On my second card I used SU! Creamy Carmel to sponge the edges of the DP and snowflake to give a bit of a vintage look. On the inside of each card I have a flap folded up which is held by 2 brads. Just tuck the money or gift card in the pocket... and you have a "fun creative" way to present a gift!! I hope I have inspired you!! ENJOY, and have a super weekend!!

Think Christmas... SMILES!

2 Christmas cards... and I won a Unity Stamp!!!

Morning and happy Saturday!! I have two "fun and easy" Christmas cards to share... and I won a Unity Stamp!!! Yes, how exciting... :) It was Rachel's week of "Growing In Unity" at Bucket Full of Cards, and it put me in the running to win a single stamp of my choice from Unity Stamp Company. Rachel has "many MANY" super cute and fun cards to check out! Also she loves trying new techniques and has fantastic tutorials to share with you!! I was on cloud nine when I found out I won... thanks SO much Rachel and Unity Stamp Company! :)
My first card I used the SU! Holiday Line up set, colored in the stocking hat with Real Red marker and added a "Mini Pom-Pom" to Rudolph's nose... then added a bit of white Liquid Applique on the hat tassel. Layered it up and added the sentient and black stitched ribbon! EASY & FUN!
My second card was designed at Julie's card club class last month. We used the SU! White Gel pen to add small dots to the SU! Snowflakes and using my FAV Top Note as a background. I added the CB embossed swirls and the Martha Stewart star punch behind the button. Well, I'm off to write out more Christmas cards... still in progress! :)

Enjoy your day and keep warm!! Another burry day here and perfect for some Chai tea.... thanks for visiting and the sweet comments! I know I'm behind on returning them, but not for long!

Christmas cards inspired from SU! Holiday Mini Catalog!

Happy Saturday!! Are you getting your Christmas cards ready to mail yet? I have my cards made, list of people to send to, addresses, stamps, etc. But no motivation to sit down and start...ha! Tonight I have a holiday party which should get my holiday spirits warmed up. My hubby is working all weekend and he will be missed tonight.
Both cards are inspired by the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog... and are hostess sets. The first card I made at the retreat weekend I had in November and I borrowed Diane's Patterned Pines set... THANKS Diane! This card sample in on the back page of the mini and I added the layer of dry embossed snowflakes using my CB Folder then I sponged high spots with SU! Whisper White and edges with Bashful Blue.
My second card was done at Julie's card club last month. We followed a card on Page 5 in the mini also. I added the brads, Rose Red CS and 1/2 pearls next to the sentiment. The scarf is paper pieced!! I hope my cards give you some ideas for making yours... I LOVE SEEING all the creative cards in blog land... you rock my friends!! Have a great weekend and keep warm...

Serene Snowflakes...

Hi everyone!! :) Any snowflakes in your neck of the woods? We had a few today, but nothing that would stay to enjoy. I realized I didn't share this card from Julie's SU! card class last month. I just fell in LOVE with the Serene Snowflakes set... so many CUTE cards in blog land I've seen.

We used SU! Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry CS. She had us stamped the snowflake image on a scrap piece of white CS and then using the 1 3/4" circle punch to punch the image out. Then we attached it to a metal tag. I added the Stickles to the snowflake when I came home and also added the Apron Border on he bottom. That ribbon is FAB!!

I hope you enjoy! Life in my craft room has been pretty sparse lately... YIKES! Have a super evening and weekend! Busy for us, but I'm still getting some stamping time in on Sunday... I need a recharge! Ha... SMILES!!

Thanks SO much... Masculine Card!

How was your Thanksgiving weekend?? Now back to reality, RIGHT! After the food, football, shopping, travel, and getting the laundry done now we can get in the mode for Christmas. I did get our tree up and decorations... and today we worked on taking a Christmas photo... now when you have a golden retriever that has a 1 second attention span... it's very HARD! All he wanted to do is play and with the temp between 28-35 degrees it as COLD! :)
OK on to the card! This card was inspired by thinking Masculine!! I made this card at the scrap retreat weekend and only had Christmas DP's with me... so I worked my magic on using colors that were warm, and different patterns. I used the SU! square punch and stamped an image on the sold squares... from Peaceful Wishes! Also using the SU! Trendy Tree set and So Many Sayings. Added a bit of paper piercing and layers... there you have it! :)

Enjoy your evening! Thanks for the visit as I ALWAYS appreciate the comments... still replying to everyone! Keep stamping... SMILES!

Very Merry!

Don't fall off your chair... yes I'm posting on a Monday! :) I have a few minutes to share this adorable card using the SU! Holiday Line-Up and October Afternoon DP which is 2-sided. I picked this paper up on the way to our retreat. Deb and I made a "Paper and Embellishment" stop... FUN! I like the non traditional colors, adding the Felt Flurries Snowflakes, Stickles for some sparkle and the white ribbon gives another element!
OK, how many are watching Dancing with the Stars tonight... ME, ME!! I can't wait! I hope Mya (SP?) is on top, but Kelly and Donny are great also... I'll be sitting on the sofa wrapped in a blanket with my Chai tea to keep warm. I just can't seem to warm up the past 2 days... I feel OK! Have a great evening stamping friends.... I'm going to do a bit of blog surfing next! Thanks for the SMILES!

Dasher & Peaceful Wishes... :)

Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I can't believe it's already next week... and then the busy time of year getting ready for Christmas! I have 2 more cards to share from my girls/stamping retreat weekend... the first card is using SU! Peaceful Wishes set and the TOP NOTE! :) (That makes me happy!) I CASE'd a similar card on SCS and the artist is Stampintoo. Check out the card I followed. I added the Real Red around the top note, changed my position of the sentiment and added bronze brads. I used liquid applique on the pine cones which was so fun to give more dimension to the card... I made 4 of these at the retreat and shared with Deb, Diane and Mary! (Hi ladies!!) :)
My second card was inspired by Dasher... LOVE that single stamp. I like this look to give as a masculine card... or the holidays! The CB embossing adds so much in the background, using my SU! Wide oval punch and Lots of Tags dies works so well with the image. I did use my GellyRoll pen for some sparkle but very hard to see in the photo. And yes, I enjoyed sponging around the edges for an aged look... ENJOY!
I'm enjoying the weekend as it's so warm and sunny here. My hubby just left to Bow Hunt till dark. So you know girls what that means... STAMPING TIME!! Fare triad right? He... :) Anyway, I have a few more cards from the retreat to share yet. Stay tune... Have a super weekend and enjoy it in whatever part of the world you live.... SMILES!!

Thanks for popping in... Michelle :)

A couple cards to share... from my Stamping Retreat!!

Well, I survived the stamping/scrapbooking weekend!! What fun it was... so much creative energy going and amazing food! I ate way to much... it felt like Thanksgiving two weeks early! Ha.. :) I have a couple cards to share from my weekend and will be sharing more cards when I can post next. If you follow my blog, you know how much I LOVE the SU! TOP NOTE die! I CASE'd a card from Beate Johns blog... but I can't find the actual post to show my CASE.

I kept both cards close in size, shape and colors. I added a SU! Felt Flurries snowflake from last years mini, and the Snowman is a EK punch. (Thanks Diane for sharing!) :) I did some paper piecing to get more of defined image with the hat, scarf and arms. And enjoyed using my SU! Modern Label Punch... :) Cardstock used is SU! Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Very Vanilla.

I hope you like... I do! I'm going to finish watching Dancing with the Stars now... LOVE that show! The big night is coming next week... yeah! You know where I will be at. Thanks for popping in for a visit and I so appreciate it. I plan to blog surf sometime soon! Miss everyone!

STVSC37... Dashing Through the Snow!

Hi everyone!!! I had some stamping time last night and I just had to share... :) I received my SU! "Dasher" a week ago and decided to pop into my sweet friends blog at The Craft's Meow (Hi Lisa!!) and seen this fun sketch... Stamp TV Sketch Challenge 37!! The card on the left is the card for the challenge. My 2nd card is a layout I have been wanting to try for some time.
On the challenge card I used DP from DCWV, paper piecing on my Nestie circle cuts and embossed Dasher with white embossing powder. Added snowflakes... the large one is SU! and the small size is Martha Stewart. I added rhinestones to the antlers and the sentiment was so fun to mix using SU! punches to layer.
The second card I free hand cut the landscape out of scrap paper, and used it like a stencil to sponged Chocolate Chip onto Kraft CS. Then I stamped Dasher with Whisper White Craft to emboss in white... well I "FORGOT" to use my Embossing Buddy and ended up have my inked area hold some of the embossing powder too! I decided to see what it would look like after I took the heat gun to it and I LOVED the fun texture and look it gave... so I went with it!! :) My oops worked to my advantage! :) The snowflake is one of last years SU! felt snowflakes, added a boarder using my EK Wave Punch, the sentiment is a $1 stamp at Michael's, and I also used my GellyROll pen around the edges to give more sparkles... Click on photos!
Enjoy!! This week I'm getting ready for a retreat this weekend... CAN I LEAVE "NOW"!! Ha... :) I'm getting excited and have my ideas ready, but not much packed. So my posting might be even less this week. Have a great Sunday evening, thanks for the visit and I very much appreciate your sweet comments!!

Mr & Mrs Snowman... :)

Happy Friday!! I can't believe how the week just flew by and the weekend is already here.... :) We had our Grand Opening all week at our new office. Great success and lots of fun. (But some very LONG days!) Here in Minnesota it's the "eve" of Riffle Hunting season for white tail deer, and the area is hoppin' with hunters. Tomorrow I have to pull out the orange jackets and hats for my walks, I don't want to get shot at! Ha... :) We have Cooper ready with his collar... it's the bright orange too.
Enough of my chatting and on to my Mr & Mrs Snowman card!! I thought this $1 stamp was just the cutest from Micheal's and with some paper piecing and using my GellyRoll pen for some sparkles it turned out very nice... I THINK! :) I also doubled up the ribbons, used my EK Wave Border punch, and Snowflake CuttleBug embossing folder. My DP's are from DCWV and KI Memories. Click on the photo's for a close up shot. I love looking at details on cards!!
I'm making popcorn next and settling in for the night. And yes, I'll have a hot cup of Chai tea... very relaxing! Enjoy your weekend everyone and with this fall weather enjoy some crafting time too... it's deer hunting "widows" weekend!

Jolly Snowman and Get Well Card... :)

Happy Sunday!! Here is one of my Snowman cards I made this weekend and a 2nd card from Julie's card class. It was perfect, Friday with the snow coming down made me think of a bright "JOLLY" card! I used my Nesties, bright DP's and using my Martha Stewart snowflake punches with buttons. I CuttleBug embossed the background and sponged the edges and high spots with SU! Whisper White. The stamp is from Provo Crafts... to cute! :)

Being the snow has come early this year and we still have leaves on the trees we made this fun fall card. Julie had us make a 4x4 card and making a 2nd fold at the 2" mark. Such a quick and easy card to make. When I came home I used my blender pen to fill in the leaves more with Close to Cocoa. And that fantastic Modern Label Punch rocks with the brads!! The stamp set is Autumn Splendor... in the SU! Holiday Mini Catty and Thoughts and Prayers.

Click on the photo's for a closer look! I'm watching football "Boarder Battle"... Vikings and Green Bay Packers... So far so good for us! I also made a large pot of Chicken Wild Rice soup and Pumpkin Mousse for dessert!!!! Yummmm... :) Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping in for a visit. I always love it when you do... I'm catching up on comments!!

Happy Halloween!

And what a perfect card to share with you from my Monday night card class with Julie... :) I'm excited for Halloween even though we had 2" of snow yesterday and it's still staying... LOL! But this afternoon it's warming up, so I'm sure it will be gone before the kidies get out and enjoy the ghoulish evening! :)

The sets used was SU! Autumn Harvest and Pocket Silhouettes, and yes the Top Note die! (one of my FAV's) We did some paper piecing and using the Modern Label Punch for the cute Happy Halloween sign. I added more sponging around the edges and the paper piercing.

My hubby was busy last night so when I came home from work I quick got a few chores done and then in my craft room I went! Being it snowed yesterday I had to make a snowman card. I will share that next and I have 2 more cards from Julie's class too.... stay tune!! :) Enjoy your day stamping friends... have a SAFE evening!!

OfficeMax inspiration... for .99 cents!

Happy Saturday blog hoppers! How is your weekend going so far? I stamped a couple hours this afternoon and came up with this card which my inspiration was a pocket folder that I purchased for .99 cents! Yes, can you believe buying something at OfficeMax for that price...LOL!

I was running errands on Wednesday and came across the folder and instantly a few ideas came to me on creating a card. Has that ever happened to you! :) This is pretty much a SU! card except the boarder punch.
I had so much fun making it! The DP is also SU! which is retired I think.

The SU! stamps used are Finest Flourished, Baroque Motifs and Frames with a Flourish. All images are embossed. First layer was SU! Metallic Silver, 2nd layer SU! Detail Black, and 3rd layer SU! Real Red. Some of these powders are pretty old, but still work! :)

This look is different for me, and not sure what to call it? I used my Modern Label Punch for the sentiment embossed in Silver. Click on the photo's for a closer look... IRL the card looks nicer!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day. I plan to do more stamping yet this evening and my hubby is bow hunting right now. Maybe make some popcorn and have a soda... :) Endless possibilities... doesn't take much to make me happy!

Thinking Fall... and it's Friday!

Morning everyone! Well, it's Friday and fall is in the air here in Minnesota. And what perfect card to share with pumpkins and fall colors... :)

I decided to pull out my Nesties and DP that I haven't used in ages! The pumpkins were SO fun to make using SU! oval punches, SU! Swirls die, and Gelly Roll pen for some sparkles around the edges. I also did some "Doodling" around the lower Nestie shape. The paper piercing adds so much too.

Take a look at my close up and click on the photo's to enlarge. Enjoy!

Any big plans for the weekend? I have a girls stamping retreat weekend coming up in 3 weeks that I need to get my ideas going on what I want to work on... before you know it I'll be out of time to plan. Yikes!

I'm planning on being home most of this weekend and a blog surfing I go.... YES! I so miss everyone! So the keyboard will be smoking and can't WAIT to see all the fun and creative creations you have.

Thanks for the visit, taking a peek and your time! Have a super weekend... STAMP!

Finally, a couple PUNCH cards to share with you!!

Finally, a post! Right... :) Sorry for my absence. Last week we moved our office to a brand new location (VERY NICE!) and I had some LONG days into the evenings working. And over the weekend was my catch up. On Sunday it was such nice weather I was working in the yard to get a few things winterized. Pulled bulbs, cover the A/C unit, washed a few windows, shrubs, etc. Now only if I would have giving Cooper a bath the day would have been complete... ha! He's still smelly and very hairy! In a couple weeks he goes in to have his "Spa Day" which includes a bath, trim and cutting his nails.

On to the cards.... I understand this card design was in the SU! Demo Magazine. The 2nd card is what we made at Mary's SU! workshop in September. I had so much fun making it that I made another card with pink and pumpkin pie tones.

This card is perfect to up-selling your SU! punches... and what an amazing cards a girl can make
with punches... WOW! I did use some non-SU! decorative edge scissors I own on the ice-cream bowls. And added some CuttleBug embossing in the back ground.

Well, off to bed I go! I wish everyone a warm Minnesota SMILE!! And a day full of colorful fall leaves... 'tis the season! He... :) Thanks for popping in for a visit. I haven't blogged much in over a week. All the comments I do receive I do return the favor and let it be known I have not forgotten about you!!!!

Hugs and SMILES!

Holiday Lineup... Be Merry!

I thought it was fitting to make a card today with Snowman and Snowflakes being it feels like winter around here... ha! This afternoon I made some time to stamp and pulled out my DP from last years SU! Country Living Holiday Packet.

The card I CASE'd was from Debbie at Debbie P's Place. She is so inspiring and it's always fun to visit her blog... take a peak!!

I used my "fun" new SU! snowflake punch and added a button with twine. I don't have the Nestie oval dies, but have a scallop scissors that works perfect. In the second photo, I used my Gelly Roll pen which is perfect for fine detail glitter effects. (Click on the photo for a closer look!)

ENJOY! I'm off to watch Desperate House Wives... Dancing with the Stars tomorrow night! Have a great week and think STAMPING thoughts!

Trendy Trees... CASE!

Can you believe I'm posting again, second day in a row... WOW! It must be the snow on the ground and strong winds today...burrry outside! Cooper (our golden retriever) and I ventured out for a morning walk in my long-johns, winter jacket, and all the warm hats and mitts I could find... Ha :)

This past weekend I made some fall cards to mail to a couple SWEET friends of mine. I CASE'd Nancy's card from iStamp. She used SU! Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon which gave more contrast than mine. But I did find DP with Polka Dots... :) I enjoy the Trendy Tree set and yes I used my Modern Label Punch again.

Pop in to Nancy's blog for some fantastic cards and check her iPICKS for the week... what inspiration! Enjoy your evening my stamping friends! Keep warm... or cool depending where you live. More snow on the way here, an inch or two.

Thanks for the visit... SMILES!

Autumn Days... and Happy Firday! :)

Hi everyone... are you ready for the weekend? It sure is autumn in Minnesota. The leaves have bright colors, especially the maples, and we had our first killing frost last night. I said my final good-bye's to my flowers and gardens. Tomorrows high is 37 degrees... burr!

The two cards I have to share tonight are from SU! workshops and Julie's card class. The first card was for my hubby's birthday... he LOVES to hunt! To get the effect on the Top Note we took sponges and daubers to add the colorful background. Then stamped the images over. I embossed "Happy Birthday" and "Wish Big".

On the second card we stamped the turkey 3 times in 3 different colors and cut sections out to layer over the main image. It's hard to see in the photo, but it does give some depth. And I just received my Modern Label Punch... O' what fun! :)

Have a super evening! And enjoy the fall air, fuzzy slippers, apple cider, pumpkin bread, warm chili, caramel apples.... notice I LOVE this time of year! Now to find the time to enjoy it!

SU! Ornament Christmas Card...

Here is the Christmas card I mentioned I was going to share with you!! I made this at a SU! Workshop and boy was it fun to make... :) I'm giving credit to Mary who was the demonstrator and is similar to the sample in the SU! mini catalog. The new punch works perfectly with this stamp set and also the rub-ons.

I added the white trimmed boarder on the left side and organdy ribbon.

Well off to get more done. Today was very nice, and I was in the garage and yard cleaning. Even combed Cooper, our golden retriever, who is such a baby! Have to love those 4 legged friends... Have a super weekend my stamping friends!!

Happy Friday!!

Hi! Happy Friday to you and I'm so happy the weekend is here... Woo, hoo! :) Fall is in the air and the leaves sure are changing colors. We have rain here tonight and just before dark I was looking out my kitchen window at the fall colors and the rain gives them such a bold look!

I have two more Archiver's ScrapFest cards to share with you. The first card is by BasicGrey and the 2nd card is by American Crafts. I just LOVE the fun fall colors on the Autumn Memories card. The DP is very pretty!

American Craft has such bright modern colors I enjoy. So styling and just so simple! That's perfect for the on the go stamper... like me lately!

Are you all watching Dancing with the Stars? I just love watching people professionally dance ... it will be an interesting season!

Enjoy your evening! I have a SU! Christmas card to share... stay tune! SMILES

Hello... Archiver's Scrap Fest 2009!!

Hi Everyone!! Don't fall off your computer chair as I'm posting a few cards from attending Archiver's Scrap Fest 2009 this weekend... :) Being I live 2 1/2 hours from the Mall of America I finally had the opportunity to go this year with my stamping friends in the Twin Cities area. It was so nice to visit, catch-up, and do some stamping.

Talk about LONG lines, there were 32 make and take stations and we accomplished 8! So you can tell how long we stood in line. This was a HUGE 3 day event (we only did Saturday) and very fun... plus you could get some good bargain's at the "Saving Spot", a mini store Archiver's had set up.

I have a couple cards to share and as time allows I will post more. The first card was from the Cosmo Cricket booth. It's a 4X4 card and I like how we stamped the sentiment, cut between the letters and wrapped it around the back side of the circle. And roughing up the edges makes it even more fun!

The second card is from Doodlebug Design... I LOVE there DP's and felt brads! Very simple card and the chunky glitter adds so much.

I was so happy to get back home last night and my feet were happy too! Right Jackie and Carmell!?!?! (WINK) ;)

I'm helping my hubby get ready for a hunting trip, taking care of the produce from the garden, and getting ready for a weekend of PEACE and QUIET! Stamping is on my list and I do have cards to show you!

I miss everyone! I will be honest, I haven't done much blog surfing and sure miss being out in blog land. Have a super Sunday evening... SMILES!

Taking time off from blogging!

Hi Everyone! Well, there has been some busy things going on in my life lately and I'm sorry to say blogging is going to be put on the side for awhile! I'm so sad about it, but I have to put life first for now. I'm going back to work full-time and started training today! In the future my hours will be reduced to part time, but as of when and how many hours this is unknown. This all came into play this past week and I had to make some decisions over the weekend on what I need to do to keep this schedule going.

I will blog hop when I can to see all your "lovely" creations, and if I do get a chance to post I will. I understand if you choose to unsubscribe as this is why you come to visit to SEE A CARD! I understand 100% on why... I'm going to miss you lots, and you are all in my hearts!

Thank you SO MUCH for all the sweet comments I have gotten over the months from everyone! That is what kept me going.... SMILES!

Chistmas Cards!!

Happy Friday! This past week I was at a SU! workshop and we made this beautiful Christmas card. I like how we took the image and crumpled the card stock. Also if you notice the sentiment... we didn't ink the "MAS" to have the word "Christ"!! How cool is that! I added the swirl background and CB Mesh embossing.

The second card was from Julie's card club a while back and realized I didn't share it! I added the MS snowflakes and silver pearls!

I won't be posting till next week... traveling over the weekend here and and few other loose ends to take care of. ENJOY! Have a super weekend yourself... SMILES!
