Happy New Year... Cocktails Anyone?

Happy New Year's Eve!!!

I made this card a while back which I made two. I love the 3 olives I created by using my circle punches. I punched out the centers and "set in" the red to get a more realistic look... hard to see in the photo. Also sewing on the left side and using the SU! spiral punch to give a more office look. It looks like a manual for mixing Martini's!! The Kraft paper gives a fun touch also!

Have a great evening, drink sensibly, drive safe and get to bed at a reasonable time... this is your stampin' friend watching over you!! JUST HAVE A FABULOUS TIME!!!!!

I'll see you in 2009!

CC199... Happiness!

Tonight I had a chance to stamp and I decided to do the SCS CC199 challange. The colors this week are So Saffron, Bravo Burgundy and Handsome Hunter. Well, I must confess... I have no Bravo Burgundy and Handsome Hunter ink or paper! Yes, I know I need to get with the program, right? Well, I'm a person that uses up the old before the NEW. So I used Baroque Burgundy and Forest Foliage. (I hope the SCS police doesn't come after me!) He.. He!! :)

I had to use my Top Note die again. Such a fun tool! I did enjoy using the 3 colors together and wanted to create an aged Victorian card. With adding textures, distressing, paper piercing, etc. I found some 3/8" gold brads that worked for my flower center!

Enjoy! Pop back in as I'll have a card to share for New Years Eve!! Thanks for stopping and the visit!!!!

So Refreshing... a Valentine!!

It's so refreshing to post a Valentine card! (Ver's Christmas) On Sunday I did have time to stamp and feeling much BETTER!!! Thanks for the well wishes and I'm excited to get back into my routine... if there is such a thing... LOL!! I'm still catching up, but I just take it day by day. Mark (my dear hubby) is getting plans/sketches drawn up for making me a few storage units and shelves for my craft room. This will be a winter project, so when it's completed I'll show you photo's!!

I had a chance to use my Top Note die for this Valentine card. I just love the DP from Cloud 9, plus it was my first time using SU! A Happy Heart set which is out of the Holiday Mini Catalog. Such a fun set! I cut the hearts out, tied sheer ribbon around, and used dimensionals to create some depth, also popped the Top Note layer. ENJOY!!!

Have a great Monday and if you are still on Christmas vacation.... get some stamping time in!!! Stamp on.... :) Thanks for the visit and chat again soon!

Enjoying the Holidays??

Hi stampers!!! How was your Christmas? I'm hoping all went well and lots of good times to be had. Not to mention all the yummy sweets to indulge in!! :)

Sorry I haven't posted sooner! As of Christmas night I've been hit with the flu. I just started eating and gotten rid of the migraine and sore joints this afternoon. Great Christmas diet, right!?!? LOL!!

On a happy note, I have a fun card to share with you!! I just love the SU! Sassy Susie set. All the fun sayings that come with it is such a hoot! I just created a layout by sketching out one on a piece of scratch paper. Colored my image using SU! re-inkers and blender pen, added rhinestones and used my Marvy Scallop Square punch which I punched two of them and just over lapped to create a rectangle scallop edge.

I hope to get into my stamping room tomorrow... fingers crossed! Stay HEALTHY!! Have a great evening and thanks for visiting!! I love it!!!!!

Snowflakes... Thanks SO Much!

Well, the count down to Christmas is here! Are you ready? I just about have the gifts all wrapped. I'm running errands today and then we have our Kinship Partner, Alex, coming out to the house tonight for a sleep over and he's opening his Christmas gifts! We mentor for Kinship which is a local organization like the Big Brother Program. Alex is an 8 year old boy who sure enjoys coming out to our house the most! He loves to play games, fishing, playing with Cooper (our golden retriever), reading, Cub Scouts, crafts, etc.

He LOVES my baked goodies for him. Even is it's just hanging out for a couple hours.

I'll be open we have our moments with him that I could pull my hair out, but it's just normal 8 year old boy stuff! LOL!

Today's card is a sample of a few Thank You cards I've made for lovely Christmas gifts I've received! My snowflake on the metal tag was inspired by Nancy at iSTAMP. She is so AWESOME and a great cyber friend! :) She has helped me out on my blogging adventure. Give her blog a visit and be inspired!

Thanks for the visit and I love it!!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year if we don't see each other till after the Holidays!!!

I'm back with a Non-Christmas card...

Hi bloggers! Miss me!?!? I've been gone for a while with working more this past week and Christmas To Do's. (Plus dealing with a nasty cold!) So my time has been limited on the computer, but I will try and post over the holidays, but not as often! I'm wishing you a wonderful Christmas week and joyful New Year!!

Today's card I just love this fun lay-out! I used my 1 1/4" square punch for the 3 bottom triangles with my fun DP from A-2-Z Essentials. I used my 1/8" hole punch on my Real Red strip. To jazz it up I paper pierced around the edges. My saying is stamped in Night Quite Navy and layered with Real Red. Using my Ticket Corner punch. This would be a great layout for a masculine card also!

Thanks for the visit and I'm wishing you a blessed, warm and cozy Christmas if you don't pop back till after the holidays!!! Enjoy....

CC197... Let it SNOW!!!

Happy Thursday! I want to share my card for this weeks Color Challenge at SCS (CC197). Using Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray and Not Quite Navy (optional). I have a confession... I don't have Basic Gray card stock, so I used Going Gray. I know I'm behind on times, but I'm so stubborn to use up my supply I have.

This past Monday I got my Nesties Labels One in the mail!! Woo hoo... :) So I used them on my card. This card took me some time and thought. I just love the CB embossed snowflakes and smooshed the craft white ink pad on to the high spots for contrast. I used my chunky glitter on the words SNOW and Stardust Stickles on the 3 snowflakes for even more bling. I just love that word!
Look at my close up photo for more details! Well, off to work now. Have a super great day and thanks for the visit.... chat again soon stampers!!!

Hi blog surfers!! Sorry, about a late post. The Christmas crunch is here and feeln' it!! How about you? I hope you are getting your Christmas list narrowed down and enjoying some holiday bliss... :) It will be a Chai Tea night for me... Yeah! I have a couple lovely RAK's to share with you.

Both cards are from Allison at Stampin' When I Can. Such AWESOME cards... I was just tickled when I opened the envelope to find TWO cards... She made my day! I felt like a kid in a candy store... by DH just smiled! He! :) The Santa card has such a think beard I just love how the liquid applique was done to give a 3-D effect!! The design papers are divine. Allison you are such a peach and thanks so much!!!

Have a great evening! I have my Chai tea warmed now and a load of laundry started... life it good! Thanks for the visit and as always I LOVE all the great comments...

Christmas JOY and some Humor!!

Hi Stampers! So here is my creation from stamping tonight. I've been wanting to try my Chipboard Characters from Cosmo Cricket since October when I purchased them.

Now do you want to know the funny part of my card? If you look closely at my photo... my red DP, which has script writing, at the very bottom it has a line saying "For Being so Ugly"!! I didn't notice this till I finished the card.... my jaw dropped and I was speechless! I showed my DH and he gave me a big smile. This was the first time I used this DP and only used a small piece in the lower corner. Of all my choices!!! LOL :)

I used my CuttleBug Distressed Stripes embossing on my Kraft and added more distressing with Close to Cocoa on the edges and high spots. I used my Nestie dies for my circle window, added brads in the upper corners, and paper pierced the Forest Foliage.

Thanks for the visit and I hope you enjoy!!! Keep warm, it's -20 below at my house. (I have a few blog followers that are in sunny 80's that can pass that warmth to me!!)

Your're... on my mind!!

Good Morning Stampers! Happy Friday to you!!!! Any big plans for the weekend? There is talk of a snowstorm coming through Minnesota Saturday night and all day Sunday. So some great baking time which I'll have to show a quick photo of my goodies I'll be whippn' up... I LOVE to bake!

On to the card at hand! Isn't this just darling using a SU! Jumbo Eyelet with linen thread to give a "Tire Swing" effect!!!! This week I was at Julie's SU! class on Monday night. This is one of 4 cards she had us make. I added the look of grass on the bottom. Plus I layered up the saying using my Curly Label Punch. I'm always adding more to cards as a challenge for me. Julie has such fun cards at class!! (HI Julie!!)

Well, I have a close up photo to look at. I cut the bottom tree trunk, about 1/4" - 3/8", to tuck my grass up under to give a 3-D look. I have to run here, so we'll chat more this weekend! Thanks for the visit and hope you get some stamping or baking time in this weekend!!!!

Hi everyone!! I'm sharing a fun "Christmoose" card for the Split Coast Color Challenge (CC196)... the colors are Taken with Teal, Riding Hood Red (or Real Red), Baja Breeze with Whisper White. So fun! I had time last night to get into my stamping room to play.

This SU! Merry Christmoose stamp set is from 2000 and retired, which is such a bummer! I love this moose and the other stamps in the set. I used my CB to emboss my snowflake background, and used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch. The mini flake is a retired SU! punch. I stamped Jet Black StaZon for my outlined image on water coloring paper. Then I used my blender pen and SU! ink pads to color. I added stardust Stickles and SU! Crystal Effects to give some bling! (Close up photo!)

What a Delight...

Happy Tuesday everyone! Well, it's looking like Christmas in Central Minnesota. We had snow the past 2 days. A winter snowstorm just grazed us to the south. So no major amounts of snow. YET!

Today's card is one I made a while back. I wanted to post a "non-Christmas" card to mix things up. I'm getting back in to my flower mode... LOL! I stamped my background using Night of Navy and Craft White. I then ran my Apricot Appeal circle window through my Cuttlbug using my Stylized Flowers folder. My center flower was stamped using the "Rock n' Roll" method. Then I took my VersaMark over the image with the same stamp and clear embossed. I added white ribbon, 2 paper flowers from Target's club wed from last year, 1/2 pearls and blue rhinestones for BLING!! (Below is a close up shot!) Enjoy...

Enjoy your day! Thanks for the visit and stop in anytime. Smiles... :)

Gift Card Holders... using Curly Label Punch!

Wow, it's Sunday already! I have a couple eye-candies to show you... so remember the gift card holder I posted on Friday? Well, these are the 2 holders I was inspired to make with my NEW SU! Curly Label Punch that the big brown truck dropped off on Friday... yes, I waited to purchase this fun punch/stamp set. (Good things come to those who wait.. He!)
TIP: I embossed the "Be Merry" before running it through my CB embossing folder. Then I sponged the edges with Craft White on the 1st card only!
The gift card holders are for two teens (male and female) that I enclosed $$ inside. The top one is the masculine version and the bottom photo is for a girl jazzed up with scallops and pink. (Obviously!) My "Be Merry" was embossed in white, but didn't show up very well.
Thanks for the visit! As I always love company... and the comments! Chat again soon...

Very Merry... It's Friday!!

Happy Friday stampers! How are your holiday preparations going? I'm keeping on track so far. It always seems a person doesn't get done what you'd like, but I just smile and keep working at it... LOL! :)
Today I have a gift card holder to share from a SU! card class I attend once a month. Julie has such awesome ideas... I just LOVE the Hodgepodge Hardware. This gift card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" with a 1 1/2" flap folded up in the inside and two ivory brads hold the flap secure. TIP: The SU! Design Paper is folded in half to see both sides of the paper which coordinate together. It gives the card some depth! Now off to clean my house and get my laundry started. (I need to get my cores done before some stamping fun!)

Have a great day and we'll chat more again very soon!!! Think snow...

Celebrate The Season... Joy!

Happy Thursday! WOW, the week is just flying by and so is the days to Christmas... Yikes! So I have another Holiday card to share. I hope this card gives you some inspiration and thought on being creative. I double layered my ribbon, hand "Doodled" the border around JOY, and used my SU! Scallop Circle punch. It was hard not to add more layering or embellishments, as you seen in my older posts, I can let myself get away on spending an hour or two on a card. So these simple cards I've posted this past week have been kinda hard for me... don't laugh! I know I'm crazy! He... He... :)
I hope your day is full of smiles and sunshine! Thanks for the visit and have a super day...

Priceless... A couple quickie cards!!

Happy Sunday! The sun is trying to peep out, and warm things up. We had an inch of snow yesterday afternoon as I was putting up the Christmas tree... what great timing! I love a fresh snowfall!! :)

Today, and the next few postings on my blog, I will be showing "quickie" cards to put together. Especially being the holidays are here and our time is limited. So when you need a quick birthday card or start your 20, 30, 50 count Christmas cards these will be simple to duplicate.

The first card is using your circle punches, SU! So Swirly wheel, paper piercing, dimensionals, etc. Very fun card to jazz up the colors, saying or make a masculine card with this idea!

My second card, if you can see in the photo, I used my CuttleBug embossing folder "Numbers" to give this fun birthday card some extra punch. My SU! scallop punch is what gave the fun edge around "Happy Birthday" to make the affect of an honor ribbon. Tip: Punch Scallop Circle from your card stock then rotate to punch again. Very easy!

Enjoy! I hope you are wrapping up a terrific weekend and ready for the new week... Chat soon! Thanks for the visit as I totally love it!

Always... Cherish!!

Morning! How as the big Thanksgiving meal yesterday? I know I ate plenty and sure looking forward to a nice LONG walk today... :) Or if you are "battling" the shoppers today, then you get a 2 for 1 deal! You get a work-out and starting your Christmas shopping! :)

Today's card was inspired by Danielle at Fat Cat Stamper. Take a visit sometime and absorb her eye candy! This makes a nice Wedding, Anniversary, or Just Because card. The colors are very soft and unisex. For my added bling I attached a snap to my heart and then took my hammer to flatten it. That made a perfect spot to put my 1/2 pearl on. (The ribbon was from Target Club Wed section.) My CB embossing was darkened by using a sponge with Creamy Caramel to pop the images and give an aged affect.

Thanks for visiting! Take time out for stamping this weekend and get those Christmas cards going... it's creeping up!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hi eveyone... Thanks for the visit!! I have a couple "Turkey Day" cards to share... these are from my archive collection! The first card I made 2-3 years ago and the 2nd card I made last year. The first card was inspired out of Paper Crafts. (Not sure on which month/year this was as this is where I got the pattern to make my turkey face.) He's so adorable! Very simple layering and the most work was cutting the pieces out.
My second card is another very SIMPLE lay-out for mailing multiple cards. I just LOVE the saying "I'm not fat... I'm Fluffy!" That's what I like to say when I add a few pounds over the holidays!! WOWZA! :)
Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!!! I won't be posting till Friday. I wish you a safe and happy "LONG" weekend of R&R and stamping... remember to smile!!! :)

Michelle :)

A Couple fun Christmas Cards to Share....

Happy Sunday! Are you having a great weekend so far? It's going fast, but I hope you had some stamping time. I want to mention to my subscribers who are set up on FeedBlitz that I'm working on getting a few bugs out of the e-mail updates that you receive. Also my blog posts after Oct. 17th are not showing up on Google Reader for my Followers that are set up with this option and I'm trying to get that fixed to!! If anyone has an idea on how to fix this feel free to e-mail me directly. (I'm getting a computer education with blogging! LOL!)

Now, on to more interesting business here at hand... Christmas cards! :) I enjoy non-traditional Christmas cards. The colors are bright, and very jolly for the holidays. My top card has a large Foamie glitter snowflake using my CuttleBug Ice Crystal die. (I love this die.) I added a sequin
snowflake to the center and SU! red gingham
ribbon. I think what also adds the "JOLLY" part to this card is my "large" green rick-rack. Happy Holiday is a rub-on.

My second card I used Martha Stewart snowflake punches, and a small Foamie glitter snowflake. Rhinestone give more bling and I used my 1/16" hole punch on my scallops to add more fun.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and wishing you lots of Smiles!!! :)

Michelle :)

Click here for more info and you can play along!! I used my Creating Keepsakes Epoxy Stickers that I picked up a while back... so I worked my colors around them. I colored, cut and raised the ornaments to give more depth. Also adding stickles!! I found a couple snowflakes in my COLLECTION that were a great size to add for more eye candy!
Bottom photo is a close up of the ornaments, snowflakes, etc.

Seeing Stars!

Happy Hello!!

Hope your day is going well so far and a fantastic day ahead... :) Busy week for me (as I'm sure for many of you!) so I'm pre-posting on my blog so you have eye candy to see! This card is inspired by a crative stamper on Split Coast. Click here to view! I changed a few things on my design with punching the centers out of the large stars, adding stickles to the small stars and using my Round Tab punch a couple different ways. The solid red "Celebrate" in the top photo is a sticker from DCWV. (Die Cuts With a View) I love this lay-out for Masculine and Children cards!

Enjoy the cards, life and I hope you have a chance to Stamp and Smile today...

Happy Monday morning everyone! Well, the weekend flew by and I'm not sure where it went. The weather was cloudy, cold and snow flurries on and off. Now the skinny on the card for today's post... I've been having so much fun using SU! punches lately. I used a friends Curly Label punch and it's on my WISH LIST!! I white embossed the two image from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set and the center image is stamped with SU! Marvelous Magenta (retired). Then I added Stardust Stickles for contrast. For some added "fun" I used a pink rhinestone to top my "I" in Happiness.

Thanks for the visit today and always! I love the comments.... Stamp and Smile!

Snowman... To Cute and a Card!!

Happy Saturday Morning stampers! I hope your weekend finds you stamping at some point for R&R or just catching up on those needed birthday cards. I love the new SU! Top Note Die. I can't believe what is created with it. So may lovely cards, owls, snowman, Frankensteins, toppers to bags, lipstick holder (which I seen at my Stampin' and Scrapin' event last weekend from a SU! Demonstrator.) My "happy" little snowman was sooooo fun to make! I white embossed the Holiday Greetings and used my SU! felt flurries with red gingham ribbon to give his top hat some bling. The eyes I used SU! Basic Gray to shadow around the edges being it's white on white. I cut free handed on the carrot nose! :)

My Season's Greetings card is using Basic Gray's DP. The letters are flocked which I purchased a packet on clearance at Office Max last year... love clearance sales! My felt flurries has Stickles applied with a rhinestone in the center.

Enjoy your weekend and I hope to have more on Monday to post. (Fingers crossed!) Remember to Stamp and Smile... :)

TGIF!! Two Quicky Cards to Share With You....

Happy Friday blog hoppers! Yeah... the weekend is here and it's time to show you 2 cards using my SU! Pocket Silhouettes... such a fun set I may say. Very versatile! (I enjoyed the quick layout.) The DP, from My Minds Eye, was the inspiration on the cardstock colors. I love the paper piercing, and Stickles I added to the stamped images. (Hard to see in the photo.) Just about every card I posted has some sort of bling... LOL! :) The card is pretty self explanatory, but if you have ??'s don't hesitate to ask!

Any big plans for the weekend? My DH will be deer hunting and that news gives me some Stamp and Smile time... Hope you can enjoy too!

Celebrate Life...

Hi again! This card today is using my SU! Pocket Silhouette. I chased this card from Laura at Scrapnextras. She has such awesome talent and her cards are a WOW! She also has Technique Tuesday's for all you stampers who love to learn as much as I do... always something to learn in this paper crafting world!

I used my CB embossing folder (Distressed Stripes) for the BG, SU! circle punches for my image, and SU! Iridescent Ice embossed over my Positively Pink.
Close up photo for details! My ribbon is American Crafts... hard to see in the photo, as it has fine gold glitter affect in the ribbon. Yummo!

Enjoy the day everyone! Thanks for the visit. Winter is starting to show it's face... :( But we need to enjoy it as Christmas is coming quickly. Stamp and Smile!!

Doe Camp... 2008!

This morning I want to share a few photo's of my Stampin' and Scrapin' weekend in Northern Minnesota. The theme was "Doe Camp 2008" being it was the opening weekend of Deer Hunting season. The first photo has my dog tags for camp and the Doe Camp sign was used to know what barracks we were assigned...HeHe!

These are the 2 gals I sat with over the weekend, my friend Deb had to back out and couldn't make it... and I was so sad! (Hi Deb!)
There were a total of 29 women... normally 40, but the economy put a damper on that! All meals included over the weekend and lots of great conversation. I'll be posting in a few minutes my card for today! Stay tune... Smiles! :)
