Happy Halloween... Boo!

Any spooky plans for the day? I hope whatever's on your agenda to celebrate is fun and safe... :) On to a fun and simple card I want to share with you! A couple nights ago I was playing with my new Cuttlebug die "Ice Crystal" snowflake. (New 3x3 die and emboss) At the same time I picked up a few 2mm foamies (8 1/2 x 11 sheets). The Cuttlebug worked perfectly with this material. I even found white foam with glitter... so perrrrrty! :) Plus I picked up Martha Stewarts newest snowflake punch at Michael's. (I had my 40% off coupon!) Hee... This is the small white snowflake in the center. The "Let it snow" is a rub-on. My DP was inspired by Dawn at Treasure Oiler Designz She has a very cute card using this same DP by My Mind's Eye. Take a look!! :)

Here is a close up photo of my snowflake. I added blue glitter glue for more bling besides my hot pink rhinestone center... FUN!

Another fun project to share... I purchased a shadowbox, 12x12 DP and "Vinyl Expressions" saying to make this adorable piece for my sofa table in the family room. The vinyl words are on top of my glass (outside) and the 12x12 DP is just inside the shadowbox with about 1" space... very cool! So when the next holiday or seasons comes, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Winter, etc. I can switch out the DP for under $1.00... I like this money saving decor idea! :)
Thanks for the visit you Halloween Goblins... have a fun night! Stamp and Smile...
Michelle :)

Two Holiday Cards from the Weekend...

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's the middle of the week already... where does the time go? These two cards are the last I have to share from my weekend of stamping. The first card was fun using supplies I've had for quite some time. I used my Cuttlebug snowflake folder to add detail to my SU! Lavender Lace. I also added Stickles Star Dust on my DP which I got this paper at a bargain store. I used my Round Tag Punch to add "Merry". The pewter "Happy Holidays" is from Making Memories. Bright colors!!!! :) Fun... Hee!

My 2nd card is a spin off a card I posted here. Take a look! This version is softer and using some fun DP and SU! Pretty in Pink. I added Star Dust Stickles to one of the Cuttlebug embossed snowflakes. (snowflake next to the word JOY.) "I love bling!" Also the large snowflakes has glitter, but hard to see in the my photo! I also layered a double scallop edge. New for me! Let me know what you think ladies! Thanks for visiting and remember to Stamp and Smile....

Season's Greetings... Snowflakes!

Happy Monday morning! I have another card to share with you from my weekend of stamping... I love an afternoon/evening when I can play... I'm sure you do to! :) This card was a spin-off from my Flap Card post. The card doesn't have a flap built in, but I loved the rounded edge look and added paper piercing. Plus the Epoxy Snowflake is fun in adding "Detail"! I'm a sucker for snowflakes and you will see more cards when I get my SU! felt flurries... are they here yet! :)

This photo is a close up shot for details. See the glitter on the snowflakes? The snowflake image is from Target's $1 spot a couple years ago.

Thanks for the visit! Have a warm and sunshine day... :)

Burr... Snowman Card to Share!

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! It sure is going fast. We have windy and wet snow flurries today in central Minnesota. First I want to "THANK" Alberta for helping me with a few computer details, being I'm new in blog-land. Check out her blog as she has such fun cards and ideas to share!! :)

I had a chance to get into my stamping room on Saturday... yeah!! :) I made a few Christmas card. The next few post will be the ones I worked on. Enjoy! This card was inspired by a "WoolRich Tag" that I took off a fleece vest I purchased. I thought this would be a fun layout for a card. In the photo I have the flap tacked down with 2-sided tape. I added the candy cane ribbon to give it a tab to open. The snowman art is from Target a couple years ago in the $1 spot. (I'm using up all the fun items I purchase and never use... have you been there!?) :) The black is the pop for me on this card. Plus I used my Marvy Square Scallop punch... I love that tool!

This is the fun part when you open the flap... Hee! Embossed in SU! white embossing powder.

Let me know what you think! It's always fun hearing from visitors. Thanks for taking the time to look and as always "Stamp and Smile"!! See you soon...

Thinking of you... on Friday!

Morning Everyone! Happy Friday... yeah... it's finally here. I'm so ready again for the weekend. Sunday we have a chance of snow flurries... burr! :) So on to the real business here "the card"!! This card was so much fun to make. I had a chance to use SU! 5-pedal Flower Punch and added some Star Dust Stickles to give it the bling. Also doubling up the flowers and bending the pedals to give it more detention. It's the first time I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder... FUN!! Before embossing I added my saying in Chocolate Chip. The swirls are die cut from Sizzix.
Here is a more detail shot of my flowers with the Stickles and rhinestone brads.
All you stampin ladies (guys too!) have a great day and enjoy a hot cup of Apple Cider... Tis' the season! See you this weekend with another post... remember "Stamp and Smile"!

He's my baby and fall is his best time of year. (Mine too!) When he plays in the leaves you can't hardly see him until he moves. With his coat color he blends in so well... LOL!! :)

Two Fun Cards To Share With You...

Hi stampin friends! I have two cards I'd like to share with you. :) The first card is from Julie's SU! card and technique class I have once a month. She had the Big Shot Die machine at this class... and boy did we have fun with this toy and punches! I mentioned this owl card to a few stampin' Friends and was told I have to post this on my blog! :) Julie always has great ideas and fun classes! Check out Julie's SU! Demonstrator web-site to contact her on ordering supplies and share her great SU! knowledge! Tip: The SU! Photo Corner punch was used for the owls beak!
The second card is from Mary who just started as a SU! demonstrator and had her first workshop this past Saturday. A "big shout out" to Mary... she did a "great job" on her first workshop and had 3 fun projects to demo. This card I love being it's so simple to mass produce for Christmas cards. A person can change up the colors, image, saying, etc. Love the layout design. Plus SU! DP is so gorgeous!! As far as I know Mary doesn't have a SU! web-site yet, but when she does.... I'll let you ladies know!

I have a close up photo on the Star Dust Stickles I added! Just adds a bit more Bling.... Bling! :) (Kind of hard to see in this photo.)

Time to Celebrate...

Hello all you stampers and paper crafters in blog land... :) Hope your day is going well! It sure feels like fall in Minnesota. Highs in the mid 50's and the northwest winds blowing. Burrr!

Now the fun talk... stamping! When I started making this card I wanted to have a masculine feel that would be fun for any occasion. The colors are pretty basic and the ribbon isn't tied to give a bow feel. Just attached the ends with a large brad. The silver star in my letter "A" is actually an Iron-on Stud from Wal-Mart! Enjoy and we'll chat soon! Let me know what you think!!

Stamp and then Smile... :) Michelle

Wishing Peace & Joy...

Hi everyone! Tis' the season to stamp more Christmas cards... LOL!! I did some stamping over the weekend. My goal is to get a good jump on my holiday cards this year and I seem to be accomplishing it, so far that is... :) Enough rambling and lets start chatting about this card.

I started out with Ruby Red cardstock and used my Cuttlebug Snowflake folder on the bottom half. I love the snowflakes I added with Stampendous Silver Sparkler Chain (adhesive) to make them look like ornaments. Also the Happy Holidays if from a gift tag from last Christmas. I had to save it to recycle!! Going Green... :) My ribbon is from Target's Club Wed area. Read more on supplies below...

Does Money Buy Happiness?

Happy Saturday everyone!! Yes, the weekend is finally here. I have a fun card to share that has "NO" stamping, but lots of fun putting it together. The center art is actually a sticker that I found in a packet of kids stickers from a garage sale. I've had this for a while and thought I would have some fun jazzing it up on a card. I used my SU! large star punch to high light the design. Do you see the woman's mouth has lines next to her face as she is saying the words on the sticker. So I punched two stars and cut them apart to tuck under the image to add more pop.

Stamps: None!
Paper: SU! Tangerine Tango, Blush Blossom, Tempting Turquoise, and textured rust paper (unknown), DD paper (Target)
Accessories: Ribbon (unknown), Cuttlebug Folder, SU! Large Star Punch, dimensionals, Paper Piercing, etc.

Who says buying "STAMPS" & paper crafting supplies, doesn't buy happiness!! Right girls... LOL!! Have a super great weekend...

Holiday Card... what a JOY!

Hi everyone! What a beautiful fall day in Minnesota. The colors are popping and the smell of fall is in the air. Over the weekend, on World Card Making Day, I started my Christmas cards. I came across this stamped image from SU! Gingerbread House set which is retired. (I'm going GREEN by using up my odds and ends in a box.) LOL! Anyway, I finished coloring in the image with SU! blender pen and ink pads. I used my Cuttlebug snowflake folder and sponge over the embossing with Creamy Caramel ink to give it more pop.

I have a close up photo to show the SU! crystal effects I used and glitter. This card looks so yumm! The photo doesn't do justice to the detail.

My First Blog Post

Hi everyone! This is my first post in blog world and I'm excited. I'm excited to meet new cyber friends, share my ideas and creativity in the paper crafting world. This is my escape to my passion of card making. It's been 1 year now that I have been surfing blogs and decided to join in on the fun. I've been stamping for 10+ years, was a SU! demonstrator for 3 years, but with making a move and starting a new job I had to make choices. I LOVE SU! and still active in card class/workshops with a local SU! demonstrator which I truly enjoy her ideas and energy. I also have 2 scrapbook & stamping weekends that I enjoy through out the year with friends. (Spring and Fall)

I live in Northern, Minnesota. It gets cold in the winter months and I find that's when I stamp the most. LOL!! I'm going to try and keep my posts current and brief. I like simple things with style!! Enjoy your day and thanks for visiting!!

Michelle :)
